Such terrific food - country cooking. Great service - lots of personal attention from staff. Everything included in family style dinner.

Ate here tonight for the first time in a year or so. We love the family style dining and really wanted Pine Tavern to knock it out of the park. The Homeplace in Catawba is a favorite of ours, but is a bit farther for us to go. Unfortunately, while it was "okay," it just didn't compare. It wasn't a... More

With all the reviews that I have heard about The Pine Tavern, I was excited when my hubby told me he was taking me hear today. It was a beautiful drive and the customer service was great. The fried chicken, biscuits and veggies were all GREAT. When it came to the "Roast Beef"' I was disappointed. All this was is... More

Catfish. Chicken and dumplings. Meat loaf. Mashed potatoes. Green beans. Buttermilk biscuits. Sweet tea. Large portions served in a 1950s pine paneled room by friendly folks with the sound of bluegrass close by. The adjoining bar is a gem. Same menu. Sunday dinner here converted my English friend into a Southener.

This place is too cute and the smells coming out of the front door are amazing! The biscuits are good, could be a tad bigger, but the butter and jelly that come with them means dessert before dinner! My husband got the catfish and it was excellent! The cabbage was fantastic too! My only complaint is that the sweet tea... More

My family and I just returned from Pine Tavern for my 55 birthday. Great atmosphere, great food service and not rushed just relax. Great dining at a good price.

My husband & I were visiting Floyd, Va. this past weekend. We have been there before and knew we wanted to go to The Pine Tavern again. It is right outside the town limits, so easy to get to. We decided to go on Sat. night. There was no wait,we got a nice table, had a friendly waitress, who recommended... More

My husband and I ate at the restaurant about 2 years ago, and I was eager to go back. However, I was very disappointed this last trip. We order the family style that included fried chicken, country ham, biscuits, mashed potatoes, pinto beans, green beans, chicken and dumplings, salad, and dessert. We started with salad, and I would never order... More
