My wife and I were staying in the area on a brief getaway and were directed to this restaurant & inn as a good choice for dinner. It is housed in a beautiful old building...an old school, I believe...but when you walk in you will be surprised by its modern, cosmopolitan décor. The menu, while not extensive, is very original... We booked a night to celebrate a quiet Valentine's/Presidents' Day weekend and had a fabulous time! This Inn is a gem! We had dinner at the restaurant and it was amazing! We are still dreaming about the food and wine and are already planning to go back for dinner and another stay in the spring! We had the fried pickles... More

Our B & B made reservations for us, this being my birthday dinner. On reading the other reviews posted recently I wish we had had a decent experience like they did, but sadly we did not. Starting off as we came through the door we were not even welcomed....we were "grilled" with questions that were not even in full sentences.... More

Dear Derek M: Well, this is embarrassing. I apologize for the treatment and food you received, as clearly it was not acceptable. We have discussed your review with our kitchen and waitstaff, including posting it for all to read as a reminder that if one fails, we all fail. I hope you will give us another chance. As critical as... More

They had a special two for $50 running when we went to the restaurant. Limited menu but very good items. Spouse hand the fish, I hand the brisket with potatoes and gravy. Worked out very well for us, recommended. Close dining and a bit noisy, not the most intimate place.

I had dinner here with family and it was absolutely wonderful. The crab cakes were melt in your mouth delicious. The prime rib was really flavorful and went great with the Virginia red wine that they offered. The service was impeccable!

Rappahannock County Virginia is less well known, perhaps, than its most famous restaurant, The Inn at Little Washington, But The Inn is not the only appealing restaurant in this bucolic county. The Flint Hill Public House is a warm and welcoming place set in a friendly village. The menu is generally American faire, and every dish we have tried over... More

An experienced staff with outstanding food, grand accommodations, outstanding décor, for the art lover and friend who appreciate the unusual and the extraordinary.. Very reasonable pricing and great service, great bar and outdoor entertaining. Perfectly manicured grounds and a Jeffersonian garden to die for. Beautiful. Not just another great restaurant, much more. Do yourself a favor and take the time... More

We had asked our hotel if we should make reservations and were told that we didn't need to. When we arrived at the restaurant we were greeted by the hostess who asked if we had reservations. We explained that we didn't and why. Then were told that they would call our hotel to make sure they knew we should have... More
