We drove into Farmville to bike the High Bridge Trail. We arrived at lunchtime, and parked in front of Charlie's. We decided to check it out. We were seated quickly and a waitress came quickly to get our drink orders. The menu was adequate and we both ordered the Reuben. I got onion rings and my husband got the chili... More

We arrived in Farmville looking for a good place to eat after several days on the road. We discovered Charley's, and it was a great little discovery. We had their chili (hot, as in spicy, but very good), their crab bisque, the Reuben sandwich, and a salad. The only **negative** things I have to say about all of the above... More

This restaurant is one of the best in Farmville and I highly recommend it. The Decor is rustic and warm, the food is amazing and they have live music on weekends in the evening. If you are in the area on Sunday, for their Sunday Buffet, put it on your list of thigs to do.

We stopped in here passing through Farmville. I had the roasted red pepper crab soup and the caprese. Both were delicious. The crab soup was unique and best I've ever had, not like typical crab soups. They make their own mozzarella, so this made the caprese even better. It was the holiday season, very large facilities, several banquet areas and... More

I was in Farmville on a weekend in November to visit my niece, who is a student at Longwood. We dined here twice, once for dinner and later for brunch. We did not have reservations either time. The restaurant itself is very large and quite attractive. There is a deck on the water which I'm sure would be lovely at... More

On a busy Friday night, we were seated right away. There is ample space in their large dining room. The ambience is charming while being casual. The wait staff was very attentive: I noticed that they relocated another party to another more spacious table as more of their friends arrived without the party asking. That showed me how accommodating the... More

Was visiting Crewe and looking for a nice place to have lunch nearby. This place had good reviews on Foursquare so we gave it a try. Crab soup was good but I wasn't wowed. However, the crab dip was absolutely delicious. The sandwiches were really good and the carrot cake was great. Our waitress was very sweet. Would def come... More

We enjoy dining on the deck overlooking the river. Love the crab and red pepper soup or the salad with strawberries, walnuts and cheese with a glass of jam jar.

My wife and I ate at Charley’s Waterfront Café on Saturday, November 1, 2014. We were shopping at Greenfront and Charley’s is right next to building 10. We arrived about 1:30 and had no wait to be seated. It took a little while for our waiter to show up and take our drink orders. We could tell our waiter was... More

I highly recommend the fried chicken, the Mac and cheese, the Caesar salad, the French onion soup, the crab dip and the excellent wine choices. So many yummy choices, you can't go wrong. Portions are large. The Tuesday "date night" special is great!!
