I stopped in Koi Koi for lunch while running errands. I ordered one of the lunch specials -- Nigiri Sushi Deluxe lunch -- 7 nigiri sushi pieces and a spicy tuna roll. The quality wasn't bad considering, although the rice from a couple of my sushi pieces fell apart (full disclosure: I usually get rolls or sashimi, so it might... More

This is not the place to go for good Japanese food. We had tempura, the O Baby Roll and one of the baked rolls. The shrimp were not in real tempura batter but were more like breaded fried shrimp that had been pulled out of the freezer and dropped in the deep fryer. The hot tea is a tea bag... More

If your a fan of sushi I don't think you'll like this place. The fish had been frozen which I hate when I go to a sushi restaurant. Don't think I'll go back again when there are so many good sushi restaurant around here. If you go for the cooked food it may be a better choice here.

On a whim, stopped for lunch. Had shrimp tenpura (not traditional but crunchy and good) and beef teriyaki (yum...closest flavor to what I am used to from Hawaii). Returned a week later with my toddlers for dinner and they ate every bit and more of the tenpura (had to order 2 servings of 5 shrimp), beef teriyaki (comes with a... More

LOVE this place. And I can't stress that enough. Great customer service and amazing sushi. The staff constantly goes above and beyond to please their guests. Whenever i have people visiting from out of town I always take them here. There's a reason why they win the award for "Best sushi" for the "Best of Falls Church" competition every year.... More

Koi Koi has delicious sushi rolls. They never disappoint. My favorite are the spicy tuna and lasagna rolls. My only beef with this place is opening at noon on a Saturday. I always seem to arrive too early (11:30) and have to go waste time at Penzey Spices until they open. The staff is very nice, though, and it's a consistently... More

If you're looking for a good sushi place in northern VA this is it. The food is consistently good. The servers are always super friendly and accommodating. One thing I've noticed is that on Friday and Saturday nights when they are super crowded they try to fill all of the tables possible even if they don't have enough wait staff.... More

First of all, I was really in the mood for some yakisoba. My coworkers really wanted some sushi, hence our trip out to Koi Koi for lunch. Now, I really like yakisoba if it's done right. There's another Japanese establishment in Falls Church (I won't name) that does a bang up job at authentic dishes, and it keeps me going... More

By the looks of the restaurant you wouldn't think that they serve excellent sushi. They have a page of raw, page of tempura and a page of cooked sushi choices. They also give you soy paper instead of seaweed if you want. We get sushi there every week and have gotten on the VIP list to receive discounts on our... More
