Don't waste your time driving around looking for a Chinatown meal in DC--just drive a few miles to Falls Church, VA and enjoy a sumptuous & authentic Chinese meal @ Hong Kong Pearl. My family (we're Vietnamese) eat here at least once every other month and the food never disappoints. The seafood is fresh & fantastic; all dishes come out... More

I have always been frustrated by the fact that there is no decent traditional dim sum place in town. Surely there is The Source by Wolfgang Puck and Ping Pong, but I like something on the traditional side and not fusion and also looking for that atmosphere. When people kept telling me you have to go to the suburb, they... More

Family and I enjoyed a flavorful dinner at the Hong Kong Pearl, steamed fish, salt and pepper shrimp, lobster and beef with onions and peppers were among the great dishes we ate. We will be dining here again!

We went for dinner last week and had their peking Duck . The portion was generous and it tasted great ,but I was a little bit disappointed by how the dish was presented ...I did not expect the duck to be cut in such small pieces ... otherwise,it was very well done. It is a nice and big restaurant ...good... More

Best Dim Sum in Northern Virginia! Lots of tasty choices and great service. Carts come around very frequently. Nuff said!

Wide range of dim sum, even for the vegetarian / pescatarian like myself. Don't have to speak Mandarin Chinese ... though I do. Dim sum brought to you by carts that circulate the floor pulled and pushed by friendly staff. Pick and choose. They'll check off your card as you pick the dishes. For the veggie/fish dieters, go for the... More

Quite a busy place on Saturday brunch. Fortunately, we made reservation for 20 guests at 11 am and fitted in one of the large tables in the corner. Lots of dimsum to choose from. They were delicious and quite authentic. Just best to choose from the cart that goes around the table. They also had soybean curd that I just... More

I finally tried this dim sum restaurant w/ my cousins who have eaten dim sum worldwide and are originally from Hong Kong. My personal favorite is Mark's Duck House, but my cousin considered Mark's too Chinese-American and not up to her experiences elsewhere. Well, my cousin was extremely impressed w/ Hong Kong Pearl and said that it reminded her of... More

We try to visit for Dim Sum at lunch time on Sundays. It is fairly crowded, but usually the crowd diminishes by 13:30 or so. There is a wide choice, excellent quality and the prices are reasonable. Although it is a large dining room the noise level is bearable. The staff are reasonably attentive and eager to provide whatever is... More

My wife and I stayed at the Comfort Inn across the street (avoid that place like the plague) and ordered delivery. The food came quickly and our order was exactly how we wanted it. The cashew chicken and chicken with hot garlic sauce were very good. Also, the wonton soup was excellent. The prices are fair for the amount of... More
