This is an awesome place to eat seafood! They have some of the best shrimp here I have ever eaten! My friend got hers broiled and the southern girl got hers fried!! It was delicious. Ate here a couple of times while in the area! Everything was hot and fresh!!

Crabs are "officially" out of season, but my Maryland-based family visits rarely so there we were and these crabs were SO delish!! Then Uncle Kai took the kids to the claw machine and, well, we're good, but that claw machine was giving out 1/2 odds on stuffies =) A very enjoyable evening had by all.

Crabs were smaller than expected for ordering large and they did not taste very good. Shrimp were inedible, salty, overcooked, hard and seemingly old. Not worth it at half the price.

Don't go here for fancy. This is a place with local business advertising on the walls, and big sheets of brown wrapping paper on the tables. There are a collection of flat screen TV's around the rooms for sports fans, but other than that it is an authentic old style crab house, and well worn. The prices for all you... More

Fresh, well prepared, size variety. For years of crab dinners in "Crab Town" (Annapolis), we were well satisfied at Captain Pell's. We haven't gone out for a crab dinner in a couple decades, so can't say much about their pricing. You must know about eating crabs or be looking forward to an adventure, because crabs is what Captain Pell's is... More

Hubby and I dined here for dinner one evening. We have dined here before but I have never written a review. This place is always busy and it is nothing like a chain. We ordered the combo and it was more than enough food. The fish, shrimp, oysters were fresh, hot and crispy. The fries and the hush puppies were really... More

I love crabs and probably eat here at least twice a month. I bring friends that have never eaten crabs and we order the All You Can Eat Crab Feast. That way, they can learn to pick crabs without worrying about how much they might miss, or stress over how much it costs. Prices are reasonable and the crabs are... More

I've tried a lot of crab places around the Washington DC area, and none of them have been consistent until I found Capt. Pell's. If you are looking for a nice crab house, this isn't it. It is an old school crab house with outdated appearance and tile floors. The crabs are consistently hot and full, meaning no lightweights. We... More

Four of us went here for dinner early on Sat so we were seated right away. As some of the other comments indicate, the place just looks pretty run down on the inside, is not real clean and the chairs have cloth covered seats where you do indeed sink down when sitting in the middle of the seat. Service was... More
