I went to Bombay Bistro for the first time this past weekend. It was well worth the trip. I was looking for a good Indian restaurant around the Fairfax area and I'm pleased to say that I will be coming back. The food was great, very fresh and perfect temperature. The portions were just right. I got a samosa to... More

We arrived late to check into our hotel. We needed some dinner and pulled into Bombay Bistro's parking lot 10 minutes before closing. The staff weren't very happy to see us so late, but they served us. The menu had traditional, and varying styles of Indian Cuisine. They've got many write ups including 100 best bargains in US restaurant, for... More

My son and I had lunch at Bombay Bistro. We both had the lunch buffet which was very good. Waitress was attentive, kept my water glass full. At checkout time, however, she refused to accept a dining certificate I presented. Said it was not good for the buffet even though there was no such restriction on the certificate.

Based on the unassuming external appearance of the building, we were pleasantly surprised by the authentic Indian decor inside. While they had regular seating, they also had an area with short chairs and booths in Indian style. This was interesting to sit in because it was different. The restaurant was not busy (Sunday evening) and we were therefore relaxed with... More

Love this place; small but great variety of items on the buffet. Extremely affordable. Authentic. Lunch buffet is my go-to. The only place I like to eat Indian food.

This place looks like nothing more than a converted Pizza Hut from the outside. But inside much has been done to disguise the less than inspired architecture. And basically, you forget all about that when the food arrives! We started with a calamari appetizer, which was unlike any calamari we have had elsewhere. Very interesting flavors and textures, especially the... More

We love Bombay Bistro for the lunch buffet. There are many Indian restaurants in Fairfax. This is one of the best. The lunch buffet is always very tasty and the service is very attentive. The food is not as spicy as some of the other Indian haunts in Fairfax, but if you like it milder, then this is the place.... More

We have been coming for the buffet on Sundays regularly after church. The food has a lot of flavor and tastes authentic. There is nothing fancy about the decor or the food but I'd call this Indian Comfort Food. Everything looks and tastes homemade. I tend to overlook the slightly lower quality cut of meats because the flavor makes up... More

This was, by far, our BEST dining experience while visiting the D.C. area. From the moment we walked in we were treated like royalty. Our waiter, who happened to be co-owner and manager too, was one-of-a-kind. Not being familiar with Indian cuisine we were not certain what to order. Mr. Singh took the time to walk us through the entire... More
