For 18 years, The Blue Iguana has been a fixture here in Fairfax, Virginia. One of the first of the new school of Chef driven restaurants, The Blue Iguana was finally sold by it's first owners, whom have retired, to Clifton & Nargiza Wilcox in August of 2013. Two of Blue's longtime employees, Ian Purcell & Michael Leutbecker, have since taken over daily operations since the beginning of 2014. Ian & Michael are excited about the prospects of new ownership, new Executive Chef Jim Cernak, and our new amazing Creole-fusion menu. So come have a drink, come have a bite, enjoy the best SUNDAY BRUNCH and get to know our family of the great staff in Northen Virginia.

Sunday Brunch

The bloody Mary bar was good. Loved the mimosa. The salmon was perfectly cooked with Avery tasty sauce. Asparagus was excellent. Could have had a few more selections like a good vegetarian option. But good meal for the price.

I stopped here on a business trip and have eaten at most places in the area. I tried this one based on a hunch. The staff are friendly and they specialize in seafood. Especially crab dishes. I had the fried catfish and substituted salad for the fries at no charge. All dressings and deserts are homemade. Give this one a... More

The Blue Iguana holds special meaning for me. It was where I met my wife-to-be 14 years ago and for her birthday this past September 9th, I thought it appropriate that we should celebrate there. I know it has changed over the years but I believe that the current incarnation is the best and will be even better in the... More

Went for a very early dinner, and we were given the lunch menu. Ordered a $5 app, and 2 petite steak frites lunches - good amount of food, good value, good food.

We stopped here for "dinner" in the middle of the day after arriving home from an extended vacation overseas. Our waitress was extra attentive and the food was excellent and very reasonably priced. I only wish we lived closer - this would easily be one of our "regular" haunts.

our quick lunch grab on a busy Sunday was fabulous! Steak salads were all prepared with attention to everybody's nit picks! Like : "No olives but extra..." or " medium rare steak and extra blue cheese...". We were very happy to see/taste some of the old Blue Iguana that we used to love! Furniture specially in the bar areas needs... More

I met a friend for lunch. It is convenient for both of us to meet there. Since my last review, things are the same. We both had the crab soup and it was wonderful, worth going there just for that. I also had the pork-pulled BBQ sandwich which was quite dry. As in my last review, the waitress never asked... More

They have a nice variety of foods out for brunch, we have been there several times and the chef always has something different out. All of the food is good, and we think it is a pretty good deal for the price!

We stopped in for lunch after a full day of Christmas shopping, and it was well worth it. Kathy pours a very nice drink! I ordered the Blue Iguana burger, bleu cheese and bacon medium. It was perfect.Nice and juicy, plenty of bleu cheese and crisp bacon. My wife had the chicken and cheese quesadilla. It was also very good.... More

This is very convenient for late night drinks if you are staying at the nearby Marriott or Hyatt. Not much more of less than you would expect from you're average suburban bar. There is a nice outdoor patio area and sometimes they have a DJ at night.
