terrible service, mediocre food

Very negative experience with the wait staff and manager over a simple mistake. They charged for a full ham "steak" side on a run-of-the-mill "ham and cheese" bagel. I enjoyed a recent visit. The sandwiches were not the over stuffed sandwiches that I associate with a good New York Jewish deli, but they were tasty. I had the combo pastrami and corned beef and it hit the spot. I had to try a chocolate egg cream and they made it pretty well reminding me of the old ice... More

I had not eaten here in a while. It used to be very good. But definitely has declined. They used to provide a bowl of coleslaw, a half sour and a kosher pickle. They still do. However, they are now tiny pickles and a small portion of slaw. Food was ok at best. But ham in the clam chowder at a... More

Me and wife went to Chutzpah on a Friday evening for what we thought would bee a good meal. I am originally from NY and loved the idea of a good, over-sized Brisket of Beef sandwich on rye with mustard. What I got was a sandwich that was fairly dry and pretty tasteless. I had to put quite a bit... More

the cole slaw and pickles that they serve as their take on "chips and salsa" is excellent. They have great cole slaw and potato salad. I sometimes stop in just to get these two items to augment my cooking. They have a great Ruben sandwich. The corned beef is made in house. Great flavors, lots of food. I also really... More

It is a very good diner much better than Denny's and IHOP. They also serve a really good Egg cream. I wouldn't advertise it as a NY Deli although they have better sandwiches than Subway.

We eat breakfast at Chutzpah ever couple of months. It's a good value. And the food is tasty. I always have the veggie omelette. It is a relatively small place, and when we arrived this morning all the tables were occupied. The place had just filled up. It was 9:00 am. The owner noticed that we were waiting, and asked... I really wanted to love this place...my friends rave about it and the menu has all the good stuff you get at a Jewish deli in New York or Philly. On a Tuesday at 1 PM, the small room was crowded. My waitress, Crystal "with-a -Y" was efficient but far from friendly. The one pickle and coleslaw everyone gets were... More

It is pretty sterile for a deli, having none of the atmosphere. The menu is huge and tough to navigate. When you have to dig thru 4 of 10 pages to find a Reuben, that isn't a deli. That said, the food is pretty good. The pickel/cole slaw appetizer is a nice touch. All the portions are very large; drinks,... More

Found this place on line. Their menu is good reading, with several funny spots (don't ask for mayo). The food portions are huge. There are many different sandwiches to choose from, as well as other platters. The restaurant is decorated with New York memorabilia. The soup was good, what my own Mother would call "Jewish Penicillin."
