If you love Turkish food (or want to know why Lebanese food is so good - they got it from the Ottomans!), go to Temel. Small restaurant, out of the way, but terrific food. If the iskender is on the menu, order it. you won't be disappointed.

This is my second review on this place...I really used to liked this place...Until the recent visit with family on Mothers Days..I realize that Doner kebab is done on weekends to ensure its freshness, but I would imagine on Mothers Day Sunday, they would have one too..I even asked waitress if that is the case, and she confirmed that it...

My wife and I eat here at least once a month.
I wish I could make myself try something new, but I just love the lamb kabobs. My wife is fond of the kofte. Try the seasoned potatoes with either. And don't miss the phyllo cigars as an appetizer. All go well with the Kavaklidere Turkish white wine.
As much...

We were in the mood for something different and it had been a while since we'd had Turkish food. Thanks to an online review, we found Temel is Fairfax. Hidden away in a shopping center in a spot you won't just stumble upon this little gem is worth the trip. Delicious and authentic, we loved everything we tried. Excellent service...

The meat (Doner) here is excellent - served with rice or yogurt/bread. The Temel appetizer platter is a crowd favorite - filled with all of their specialties. Don't let the strip center scare you off. This is a find. Service is great and parking is easy.
Temel has been one of our favorites for several years although Nizam's in Vienna was the best Turkish restaurant in the area until they closed. Temel appears to be declining. The service is still attentive and excellent, but the food is not as good as it used to be. The kabobs are dry and over-cooked, the fish was not fresh...

After my old Turkish favorite (Nizam's) closed down, I was a little disappointed. A quick google search however yielded: Temel http://www.temelrestaurant.com/ and I decided to try it for carry-out. The Lambchop Kebob was excellent. I also liked the veggie kebob side dish option. My wife really liked the Sukuk (sausage) pizza. I also was thrilled to discover that they deliver...

We lived in Turkey for three years and tried all the food we could. Temel offers the best of the best. You cannot go wrong with a visit there with friends or family. Beautiful setting inside, white table cloths, gleaming wine glasses, courteous service.
Based on Trip Advisor reviews, tried this place. It was very slow at lunch, with only 3 tables occupied. However, the food was excellent! Had mixed grill with ground lamb, beef shish kabob, chicken kabob and a lamb chop. Came with seasoned potatoes with vegetables and dill, and an herb garnish. Also had a cup of lentil soup (wonderful!) and...

Service is excellent. Servers are always pay attention to their tables. Food is second to none. I prefer this place to Nizams of Vienna. Dishes are genuine Turkish. Mezes and Lahmajoon are great starters, even for vegetarians. Doner and Adana kebabs are highly suggested with a glass of ayran (yogurt drink). Highly recommended.
