Tasty authentic Indian food

Service was very good and the food was full of flavor. Thought then goat curry and butter chicken were terrific. Not overly spicy and very filling. The garlic nan was wonderful as well. Nice decor, particularly for this little gem in a strip mall.

This place is fun. There are facts about India on the walls, brightly colored lights and large mirrors. I thought I might have been going to a nightclub rather than a restaurant as I approached the building. I had vegetable korma and it was good but I felt it was overpriced. Garlic naan was what you'd expect, also too expensive.... More

After reading the reviews about this place, decided to go there once. Initial Impression: Good Decor, Nice place but thatz it. The demo ends & reality begins.... Food: The food is not at all good. Costly when compared to other places I have been like Haandi and the quantity served is too less. They have prices like 15 dollars minimum... More

We received a menu in the mail and took a shot. We have not had Indian food many times in the past so this will be a review based on personal taste not authenticity. The food arrived very warm and approximately 25 min. after ordering. We had samosas (good) and palak tikki (excellent) for appetizers. We shared the malai kofta... More

I went to Curry Mantra for a birthday dinner a few months ago. It seemed on par with the variety of foods I ate in Delhi, Rishikesh and Udaipur about 6 months earlier. I don't usually drive all the way to Fairfax for dinner, but I will in the future. I really enjoyed the food, the atmosphere was fun, and... More

agree with the comment about the Indian restaurants in the UK are much! Much! better than the US. In US they seem to think they have to tone down the flavor and add sugar to get Americans to eat it. Getting the Real Deal is why people opt for an evening out at a ethnic restaurant for somthing new, different... More

As a Brit that moved over from the UK 11 years ago, I have always found it amazing at how poor, by comparison to the UK, Indian Curry House restaurants are in the US. We've tried many over the years and have found one or two that are pretty good but the quality usually varies and they all have the... More

We ate at Curry Mantra last Saturday nght, The place is very small, but the lighting and decor make it seem bigger. The food was authentic and the different Nans we ordered were very good. The Curry chicken and rice was a disappointment. I was expecting a chicken breast with some rice on the side, and instead it was 2%... More

This restaurant provides a very good buffet, a great way to try a number of different items. Very attentive servers, always checking the buffet and making certain you have what you need.
