Typical sandwich shop--get you in and get you out but not before they overcharge you. Had the Reuben and it was all bread with no substance whatsoever. I was just another customer.

My husband and I have been eating at Bernie's for years. We love their sandwiches! The guys that work there are great, but sometimes you can tell if one of them is having a bad day... because they'll take it out on your sandwich. BUT I'll always go back, because it feels good to support a yummy local business.

Certainly if you are in a hurry and/or just want a deli sandwich, by all means go--food is ok, service is pleasant, but if you think you are going to get NY style deli, :Forget it.

Great food. Everything is great. My favorites are the Reuben and the BLT. Bernie is normally there and always helpful. They get busy at lunchtime (11-1), so calling in an order is helpful.

There isn't one thing I've had at Bernie's that isn't mouthwatering, My favorite is his reuben followed by the chicken salad. My favorite deli for sure.

Bernie's has great sandwiches, but sometimes service is very slow, particularly during busy times. They seem to get quite busy at lunch hour during the week, due to proximity to the courthouse.
