Best Italian by far!

Best Italian food in the state! Sal is always around as well as his family. Wonderful atmosphere and never a bad meal. If you leave hungry, thats your own fault.

The place is cute. The shrimp Alfredo OK. The cheese steak and chicken wrap needed mayo. It was OK. The calzone was good. Service was a bit lax. Had to ask for silverware. No napkins. More butter than bread. It was an OK visit

We pulled off Route 81 for lunch, and while we normally don't stop at any place we can't see from the road, we decided to try this place. It is definitely worth the extra five minutes over a fast food place! We had sandwiches, and the portions were substantial, and well prepared!

We stopped in to Sal's for lunch. My son and I had wraps and my mother and brother had a club sandwich. Everyone was pleased with their meal. The wraps were not made with tortillas as one would expect, but rather a thin pizza crust. It was very tasty. What the restaurant lacks is atmosphere. It is okay but nothing... More

Second visit to Sal's; first for supper. I'm a Puttanesca fan and have often been disappointed by bland versions, but not this time. I loved this dish; it was perfect. My wife had pasta primavera...not my thing but she said it was good. We shared calamari as an appetizer; here it is a tasty sautéd dish with plenty of flavor...such... More

This will not be a return place for us. Staff was very friendly and service was great. Food was sub par. Calamari was gooey and chewey, tomato sauce on the eggplant parmesan tasted like it came from a can. The shrimp scampi was drunk from so much wine in it and saturated with lemon. I had the Greek salad. If... More

While visiting my son, who recently moved to the Edinburg area, my wife and I went to dinner with him at Sal's Italian Bistro. He had heard good things about it so we decided to try it out. We were seated after just a minute's wait, and our server quickly took our drink order. Our appetizer was the Mozzarella &... More

Camping in Edinburgh and saw Sal's on Main St. The restaurant was casual but the food was excellent. I had the Cannelloni and the wife had eggplant parmesan. Both servings were generous and the food delicious. Prices were reasonable and the menu has great variety.

I usually visit Sal's with a group of friends as I did this particular visit. Over the years I have come to view Sals as a place where you are generally not disappointed and usually very pleased (and full). I didn't give five stars because once or twice I have been a little less than thrilled, but for the most... More

Dropped by Sal's for lunch on Saturday. We love this place because it has a faithful local following. The day we were there, Oct 17., there was a pre-halloween, witches luncheon/party with the local Red Hat Ladies group. Lots of laughter coming from the back room! Our lunch was delicious. My BLT was huge! Tons of smoky crunchy bacon and... More
