Off the beaten path, but worth finding

Fresh crabs at decent prices and a wrap-around deck overlooking the Rivah. (Yes, that's how you spell it down on the rivah.) A little shoddy looking, but a sheet of brown butcher paper, a pile of crabs , a breeze and who cares that the floor tilts.

The BEST darned seafood restaurant that you MAY NEVER FIND. Ask a local, well worth the Indiana Jones treasure hunt to find this place.

It doesn't look the cleanest, but that's not why you go... Good, fresh seafood and atmosphere... That's why you go!

Often choose Tim's as the place to go for birthdays and celebratory gatherings. It is in a location somewhat apart with no other commercial restaurants for miles. They also have an outdoor bandstand and a choice of outdoor seating if desired.

We went to Tim's because we heard it was a neat location and we wanted some seafood. We sat inside because it was cold out and the booth and tables were dirty. We ordered a few different things. The scallops were flavorless and not worth it but my mother said the crab cake was amazing. I ordered clam strips and... More

I've eaten at Tim's many times and have yet to actually enjoy a meal there. The views of the Potomac are great, but it isn't worth dealing with the summer crowds, the long drive down a winding road only to have to park in a dirt parking lot, just to eat bad food.

I've tried Tim's a few times, hoping each time it will improve. And it never does. I still can't figure out why people keep going back and ordering entrees or pretty much anything other than beer or a couple of the appetizers. If you go in summer beware of the shad flies and the smell of the Potomac. Tim's can't... More

Seafood and water views without having to drive to the beach. Low key, very casual atmosphere. Friendly staff and pretty good seafood. Crab straight from the steamers to the table on plastic trays. Don't be afraid to get dirty!

The crab chowder is the BOM. Other than that it was mediocre. Though it is located on the water, it is right on the railroad tracks. Kind of run down, but has some good beer on tap. Fish was cooked great on the fish tacos but the cabbage had a tang that was not consistent with south of the border... More
