good food; no liquor

Nice large restaurant. Food was very good, but for some reason they no longer have a liquor license. If you want a beer or margarita with your meal this is not the place to go.

We were traveling, and got off the road to eat. This was NOT our destination, but the building just looked so welcoming. Inside, the decor and ambiance were pure Mexico - attractive, warm and inviting. Our server (Joanna) wasn't big on English, but she was friendly and efficient. The menu is extensive, and portions are LARGE. The food arrived quickly,... More

This rest. has great flan, taco salads and fajitas. I haven't reed anything else but they do have a bar. It is NOT busy at lunch which surprises me.

The service was very good. The food also. And it was worth every dollar. We had a nice dinner. But keep in mind they don't serve alcohol.

Tried this resturant from a recommedation and food was good. They do not currently have a alcohol license, but have sign on door to advise of this and when they expect to have it. The service was a little slow considering we almost had the place to ourself.

Rancho Viejo is highly recommended, here you eat authentic Mexican food not Taco Bell-type crap. We made our first visit on 7/12/14, the restaurant is located less than a 1/2 mile off Interstate 81 @ Exit 150B across the street from the Howard Johnson motel on the South (West) side of the highway. Staff was friendly and polite, we were... More

Mexican food is one of our favorites and being that this one was located right by our hotel we figured we'd give it a shot. The service was good, attentive and timely. The chips and salsa were tasty and I loved the cilantro in the salsa. The other white sauce that they served with the chips was questionable. Tasted kind... More

This place is very clean and the service is friendly and competent. Food arrives super fast and the portions are generous. Does not have the selection of a native Mexican restaurant but it's one of the better "on the road" Mexican restaurants we've tried. Chimis were excellent made with beef tips, not ground beef. Carne Asada was a little overcooked... More
