Excellent Experience

The food is always well presented with large servings perfectly cooked and within budget. The service is excellent, but the noise level precludes romance or intimate conversation.

We met for a ladies night dinner and the bread was delicious- service was ok - the food was priced a bit out of my budget - even for a nice restaurant - what I ordered - pasta - I didn't really care for.

We ate lunch here since it was much cheaper than dinner. The service was great. They were very busy so obviously they have a good reputation. The server told me they are always busy. I had the puff pastry with ham and white cheddar with white cheddar sauce and a house salad. My husband had roast pork with scalloped potatoes... More

Downtown Culpeper is a hidden jewel of Virginia. The town is a great place to walk around, visit the shops and the restaurants. We celebrated out 5th wedding anniversary at It’s About Thyme. What an amazing restaurant, based largely on a French Theme. The staff went out of their way to make our experience. Visit the website and you will... More

Two friends in Richmond recommended this restaurant when I was going to be in Culpeper to visit a friend, and she also recommended it. I enjoyed the food--I had salad with grilled tuna; she had hamburger; we got a side of au gratin potatoes that she adored but didn't find on the menu, they were happy to oblige; iced tea... More

My wife and I stopped in after visiting Montpelier. The spot is located in old Culpepper, street parking out front. Inside decorations include murals on all walls, tin ceiling, quaintly worn tabletops. We read that it was a family run place, and some of the wait staff resemble the proprietor, so it may be true. Service is absolutely wonderful, with... More

A group of us went for my husband's birthday and had a fabulous meal with excellent service. The food was authentic and fresh and the service was impeccable.

This place was reccomended by a regular local. I was surprised at the downtown of Culpeper. Very nice. I had the pot roast. It was tasty and filling. It was served with penne. The service here was top notch. I had 2 bourbons, the meal and dessert with espresso for around $60 including tip. Great meal. I recommend.

I loved this quaint place the moment I walked in. The special drink of the day was warm cider. It arrived in large wine glasses. Their bread was yummy as was the Caesar salad which was enough to share with 3 ladies. I ordered the chicken & dumplings, which were not your everyday chicken & dumplings! The noodles were home...
