My husband and I stopped for lunch. We had the "specials" Lamb Lollipops and Shrimp & Scallops, very good! Service was excellent. Nice comfortable atmosphere. A lovely find! We will certainly make a point to return for dinner soon.

Heading out for a night out with the hubby, I looked up places with steak and seafood in the area and found this restaurant. We decided to try it out and we were not disappointed. My steak was perfect, tender and juicy, and the scallops were AMAZING!! Hubby had crab cakes which he loved and he was obsessed over the... More

Thank you Trip Advisor. We were driving from Washington, DC to Charlottesville, and saw signs on the highway telling us we were nearing the town of Culpepper. We decided to stop for dinner, and searched for a restaurant on Trip Advisor. This one looked good. It turned out to be REALLY good. Best steak I have had in years (and... More

The sign drew us in: filet steak and cheese. Sounded worth trying and we were so glad we did. Steve, the owner took the time to tell us the fascinating history of the building. It's gorgeous with the first elevator in Culpeper. The New England clam chowder was lighter and more flavorful than the normal soup found elsewhere. The filet... More

My husband and I have been here several times, once with my parents and once to celebrate a new job. Each time the food has been delicious. Each time, the owner comes over to our table to check on us and chat with us for awhile. The environment is lovely, and it feels like you are dining in the home... More

I am a local and a foodie. I finally went to Piedmont for a special dinner. The service was fantastic, however, I was very disappointed in the food. I ordered the 6 scallops for $26 dollars with risotto. The scallops appeared to be cut-crosswise in half, so I bought 3 scallops at my fish monger, my serving would have been... More

First time eating here. Really cool atmosphere it is an old historic warehouse for a hardware store. Classic looking bar. I tried the soup of the day which was the New England Clam Chowder, very flavorful. But a bit watered down. Then I ordered the filet, soo tender. Tasty veggies and risotto. And finally to finish with a slice of... More

Service was the best i've had in awhile. The lunch scallops with the risotto was fantastic, best tasting scallops. Great atmosphere with a old time setting. Great restaurant all around. Will be back for sure!

My wife and I were staying at the Chestnut Hill B&B in Orange. The B&B Owners recommended that if we like good steaks, we should give the Piedmont Steak House in Culpeper a try. We were not disappointed. We were greeted by the owner, Steve Miller, and shown to our table. The restaurant is in an old restored brick building... More
