Was really looking forward to some fantastic Mexican cuisine. Turned out to be somewhat disappointed. The restaurant was short staffed on a Saturday night and it was crowded. Guess I don't have to say a whole lot more. The service was slow and the food was very average. Probably would not go back here unless management kicked it up a... More

The food here used to be really good, I think they may have change owners, cooks or something. Every trip to DC, this has been a must stop for the great food and chips, the chips are now different but still okay. The Margarita's are the best. Service is fast and friendly, but food is hit and miss.

Really great place to stop in the afternoon for happy hour. The day we were there--in the underground mall coming from the Metro--we wanted the 1/2 price appetizers. Good, but the fish are excluded from the value vlist. Three of the six offered fish, so there really isn't value.

This is pretty standard texmex. I tend to prefer non-gourmet mexican with ground beef instead of shredded so I was happy. Margaritas are good! This is exactly what you'd expect, but if you have a taste for mexican, you won't be sorry.

Crystal City offers many Happy Hour experiences and we chose the San Antonio Bar and Grill. We sat in the bar area and was greeted by a very friendly and knowledgeable bartender. We ordered some half-price appetizers and noshed on what amounted to a small dinner. The food was done well, and had a real authentic southwest flair. The chips... More

We both trusted the waiter's recommendations and had excellent meals. The service and ambiance were just right for us- a nice relaxing evening.

The food, service and atmosphere here were average. We were happy with it, but I would not call it "very good." My Pina Colada was average - ice was not well chopped up so chunks kept clogging my straw. I didn't feel like sending it back since my server was very busy. Note that the salsa they serve is delicious... More

This place is underground in Crystal City. Difficult to find and food was average, a bit salty. The margaritas were excellent. The walk underground was nice back to hotel, kept us warm instead of being above ground in the cold.

It's not "real" Mexican food and definitely could use some work. Sometimes it's pretty good, sometimes not. They are not consistent with their quality of food, presentation, wait staff, front desk staff. Sometimes good, sometimes not good. I typically have the Cheese Enchiladas with rice and beans. The Shrimp Fajitas were usually pretty good. It is a popular lunch spot... More

My co-workers and I took another co-worker to San Antonio's Bar to celebrate his new job. I was unimpressed by the lack of service and the overall inattention to our needs. The gentleman that served our table was slow and unfriendly, not sure if he wanted to be at work or not. The gratutity was already included in our bill,... More
