Came for lunch. We were greated promptly. We asked for a table on the window facing the water. That whole section was full except for a table that had just been vacated. It was quickly cleaned and we sat where we wanted. Had an Amber Bock on draft for only $2.50. My girlfriend had a glass of local wine from... More

I have visited this establishment for over 40 years, since my family had a summer place in Colonial Beach. Wilkerson's was always a favorite for crabs in the summer. It is not as suitable a dining experience in the off season. Mediocre fried seafood, a bar where a request for a scotch elicited an offer of Jim Beam, and a... More

It was very clean inside but that's were the good part stopped. The waitress was so-so, she seemed put out whenever we asked for something. The basket of hush puppies had quite a few overdone, crispy puppies. The salad bar was okay but the price of a salad bar alone is NOT worth it. My husband got a good meal... More

I have always been a big fan of Wilkersons, but lately the food quality is not the same. Don't know if it was because there was a large crowd or what. The crab cake was dry and too much filler and even their normally great hush puppies were over done. Will try again, but sure hope they get their act... More

Tied up dockside and decided for an afternoon early dinner. Entry is fairly straight away and interior is reminiscent of 80's jersey shore restaurants near Cape May or Wildwood. I'm thinking Urie's. Decor was dated, yet clean and okay. Sat near the numerous large windows opening up to the Potomac and the scenery was nice. The hush puppies were okay.... More

We ate breakfast there and waitress was nice and food was good. I saw a nice Tiki area out back and they had a great artist from Maryland that night(Sam Grow)who is now moving up in world! It is one of only 2 places I know of in area that has live music on weekends.

An update to the salad bar would do this place wonders. Food is ok, reminiscent of 1970's, though the restaurant itself is very nice. You can dock your boat right outside. It would be very easy to increase business if that is what they want... Just spice up the menu a bit.

We went to the Northern Neck several years ago & went back this past weekend to see what had changed. Wilkerson's is still there & we thought the food had improved. My husband had the broiled rockfish platter--it was a big filet but he finished all of it. I had a broiled crab cake, it wasn't bad but nothing special.... More

I've been going here for decades and unfortunately, have witnessed the slow and steady decline in quality Recently, we stopped there for "another try". Service was average but we noticed the prices were higher, especially for their "buffet" which was pretty slim on choices. We ended-up getting sandwiches instead of a dinner. Definitely off our list for some time to... More

If you in Potomac Beach or Colonial Beach, this place is worth visiting even if you have to drive a few miles to get here. This is NOT in a downtown location, it is along the road with not much else around. Good seafood and good service. It is right on the Potomac River, looking out over the water. (There... More
