My daughter who is a student at Radford University requested that we took her to this place before we left after helping set up the dorm room. All of her suite mates literally were salivating about it and said they'd join us. The outside of the restaurant looked a bit run down and not updated and it would never have... More

I have been here twice now, and both times the food has just been okay. Our waitress was very kind however, and considerate. The one thing I did appreciate was their availability of tofu. As a vegetarian, that's always a welcome option.

I actually go to this restaurant often when I visit my grandmother in Virginia. I have to say the sushi is always excellent! The hibachi is good but not the quality you would get at a more expensive hibachi restaurant. You definitely get a lot for your money.

Went to Sakura last weekend with a friend. The building looks run down on the outside, but the inside is fine. The service, food, and price were all great! At an average hibachi steakhouse, the average steak and chicken would cost $20 or more. I ordered Filet Mignon and chicken for just $11! Would recommend to anyone looking for Japanese... More

We eat here anytime we're in the mood for local Japanese food that doesn't cost a lot and is fairly quick. The food is comparable to most of the hibachi places, but the prices are much lower and it doesn't use up half our afternoon. As many have already mentioned, the portion size is substantial. We order two meals and... More

If you are wanting good Japanese feed without the overpriced hibachi show, this is a good deal. Restaurant set-up and you order from the menu. The food comes out quickly, hot and tasty. Meals come with the soup/broth and a salad which I highly recommend the ginger dressing. It is about as cheap to eat here as your fast food... More

My husband and I like to go to Sakura when we're really hungry at lunch. They serve all kinds of noodles and rice dishes with various meats and/or seafood. They also serve sushi. The prices are ridiculously low, and you can get 3 or 4 meals out of just one order. We will return over and over.

Ive had several bad experiences at sakura but my boss had an experience to top them all. He found Maggots in his rice. This place has a terrible reputation for cleanliness I can't believe the health department hasn't shut them down yet. If you want good Japanese food in christiansburg go to kabuki. It's a little pricier but hey, NO... More
