A solid choice

Our first impression wasn't the greatest on entry, but we were seated upstairs with a great view of the water and enjoyed the sunset. The downstairs seemed rather dark, but I only got a quick look, and it may have been the thick, warm air that turned me off. I was glad to go upstairs where a bar is... read more

Went to dinner with friends, and everything was delicious. They particularly enjoyed their fried oysters. We were such unintentional pains in the butt to our server, with all kinds of substitutions and questions, and she kept her sense of humor the whole time! I hadn't been to the island in ages...I should come back more often!

We had dinner at Don's upstairs dining area recently and the first thing I noticed was the smell of gasoline. I thought that maybe it was me as I had just put gas in my car but we all came to the conclusion that it was in the bar area. Our appetizers were okay but my entree, seafood Alfredo tasted... More

We love this restaurant with its wonderfully fresh oysters, along with a multitude of other seafood and " land " food. The staff is welcoming and accommodating. The atmosphere is one of comfort and sightseeing.

The steamed shrimp is the way to go here. Seasoned in Old Bay and not the medium sized shrimp you get at a buffet seafood house. I got the surf and turf style meal and the New York Strip was delicious. Not an ounce of fat and all edible. The New England Clam Chowder was hot and wonderful to enjoy... More

Being one of two restaurants apparently open during the winter, we opted to try Don's (related to the old restaurant this was on Rt. 13 near Pocomoke for years). I thoroughly enjoyed the large, fried Chincoteague oysters and my wife their crab imperial special. The broccoli was cooked enough to my liking, salad bar was simple, but fine. Cream of... More

We visited Don's for dinner and lunch over the weekend. The waitstaff was very nice and I really liked the atmosphere. They food was very good and their prices were very fair. Soft shell crabs were very good, along with the smothered flounder.

The setting here is relaxed but classic and intimate. I've been here with both a large group of friends and family and for an anniversary dinner (we aren't very fancy people though). It is perfect for both occasions. The food is wonderful, one of my favorite places on the island. For someone who is not a seafood lover like myself... More

Went for dinner on a Saturday night in October. Very casual. Food was great and reasonably priced for our budget. Would definitley go again. Staff was nice enough, but I don't think our waitress particularly liked us. We sat upstairs where there were a few TVs and in the front was a dance floor where they had a DJ a... More
