You must try the homemade coleslaw, cream of crab soup, vegetable crab soup, coconut shrimp & the LIMA BEANS--DELICOUS!!!! all of it. Even the 8oz lobster & filet is well worth the $$. We ate in the "lounge" and enjoyed the bartender & her stories.

My husband and I first found this place about 10 years ago and loved it. We went back the next year, and loved it. We didn't come to Chincoteague for a while, but came back this year - and again, we loved it! It is not the cheapest place around - two people can easily go over $100 with wine... More

We recently had dinner at the Village. The service was reasonable and the staff worked hard. The food was the weak point. The oyster chowder had tasty oysters but was watery with little else to add taste. The stuffed shrimp was overwhelmingly made up of stuffing and cheese. The founder was passable and the maui was decent. In the end... More

Enjoyed this restaurant, staff is very friendly, food is very tasty, especially oysters on the half shell. We were very hurried though by waiter. My husband was served his coffee before finishing his meal..But I recommend the food. We had a pleasant view of the creek marsh ad watched snowy egrets feed.

I first visited the Island in 1957, yes I am dating myself. Was there for pony penning and all I remember is very large black flies, dust & outhouses. For ten years or so in the 90's spent long since summer vacations here. The island along w/Assateague became a favorite of mine. That said one has to accept Chincoteague for... More

Wonderful home made sauce with the calamari. Nothing batter fried, they use Panko bread crumbs for their coatings. Their vegtable side is never a steamed combination of the usual vegetables. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Will go back in a heart beat. Great view, wonderful service and great atmosphere. Do your self a favor and try this one after you... More

We had trouble finding a decent meal on chincoteague and this place was at least edible. First I asked the waitress what was the house white wine and was told she wasn't sure something in a box. Ordered crab dip and it was mostly mayo. I had french onion soup and while the flavor was not bad it was ruined... More

We were advised the Village was one of best seafood restaurants in Chincoteague. We ordered baked flounder stuffed w/crab imperial, with the house salad and baked potato, and a bottle of German Riesling. We ended with their pecan pie. The flounder was very good and tasted fresh. But the crab imperial was much too moist, almost runny with lots of... More

Had steamed shrimp and a salad. The salad was excellent. Very fresh. Steamed shrimp was good as well. Fries were not very good. Others in our party had the crab soup and clam chowder and said it was decent but not the best they have had here. Overall a good meal.

Went on the recommendation of our innkeeper for a friends birthday dinner. Our table was right at the window overlooking the creek. Staff was friendly and attentive and seafood ordered was fresh and delicious. Oysters, stuffed flounder, fried shrimp, were cooked just right. Coleslaw was sweet, crisp, and yummy.Bourban pecan pie and cheescake were the perfect ending. If you visit... More
