Our food at this restaurant was quite good, plentiful, and attractively served. But, the most impressive part of our dinner for 17, including children, was the pleasant and careful service of our two waitresses. The manager had agreed earlier in the day to seat our large family in a separate room and was quite willing to accommodate this big crowd.... More

As it turns out when you want a nice seafood dinner with the wife/girlfriend in Chincoteague there are a limited amount of choices, expected, it is an island. We went here last evening and made reservations (call ahead as there is limited seating) and we were seated nearly immediately, their hostess staff is great at what they do. After we... More

Great restaurant!! Food is outstanding and plentiful. Seems like a family owned and operated place. All the workers are very friendly and act like you are the only ones there. The seafood platter, either fried or broiled is way more than you can eat! My wife likes the seafood dream. All the food is good, seafood is their specialty We... More

This restaurant is a little pricey but worth it. The food is delicious and the hostess and staff are very friendly. We have been eating here for the past 7 years and we have never been disappointed.

This is by far the best place we've dined at in Chincoteague. We always felt Chincoteague Inn was the best (but they don't exist anymore) up until the last few years. We've been going to the Island for 22 years. Last year (2013) was the first time we tried The Village. We went the last night of our stay &... More

I was here for dinner two times in the autumn of 2013. I really enjoy scallops but this place has the best scallops that I have ever had. The first evening the place was packed so our party of six sat at the bar for dinner. Not the best arrangement but we made due. I tried the scallops and was... More

New friends we met at our hotel in Chincoteague raved about the Village, so we tried it on our last night there. My wife and I agreed it was good but not great. The server was either new or a bit overwhelmed. My seafood platter did not match up to Bills (see my separate review for Bills) although my wife... More

The four of us enjoyed a great dinner at The Village Restaurant. Great service and atmosphere. We sat by the water. Reservations are requested and I agree as it fills up quickly. The food is delicious and the portions are perfect. I recommend the broiled seafood platter or fried shrimp. The blue cheese dressing and raspberry vinegarette are delicious and... More

After a few days of eating at more casual restaurants, we decided to entertain the evening at a fine dining location. The waitress was attentive and great. The meal was delicious. One of the party member selected a local dinner, stuffed tomatoes and she was extremely pleased. If you don't mind spending the premium, this is great place to dine.
