LOVED this INN!

Loved this inn. Room was beautifully appointed and Barbara is the best. You feel like you are staying with family. Grounds are beautiful and Barbara's homemade breakfasts are fabulous! Hope to go back soon. Location is right at the heart of things.

Lovely hosts and a beautiful establishment, inside and out. A "must" place to stay. When combined with the beautiful natural environment of the sea shore and wildlife refuge a visit to Chincoteague Island and Assateague beach has to be on one's "bucket list".

We found this place quite by accident after we arrived on Chincoteague Island and my daughter and I talked it over and decided it would be a perfect birthday treat for me! I just love tea and she and I have been searching for an "English Tea" we could attend. My daughter has been to England twice and loves them... More

I would gladly return to see Barbara alone! As an inn keeper, she is personable, professional, and truly hospitable. The delicious tea and food items were just added extras, in my opinion. As a pregnant woman, I have dietary restrictions, which she gladly accommodated. The tea was some of the best my party ever had and we are not even... More

For many years my mother dreamed of visiting Chincoteague for the annual pony swim, this year we finally made it. Staying at the Channel Bass Inn was the icing on the cake. We took the time to enjoy the gardens, lovely sitting area, and even took in afternoon tea. I highly recommend visiting and staying a few days, there is... More

Well worth the money. Four courses and all the tea you can drink. My daughter was living the princess dream through the whole experience. Never done tea before? Not to worry, Barbara will walk you through the entire process. Oh, don't plan on eating dinner after tea, you will have plenty to eat while you're here.

My daughter and I started an annual tradition visiting the Tea Room each time we come to Chincoteague. Barbara is a wonderful hostess! The food was great and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Perfect for a date with your spouse or a special time with family.

As I'm married to a Brit, we are always happy to find a place that serves a true "high tea", but this was hands down the best we've ever experienced in the States by far! It is so lovely to sip tea from antique china cups and experience one delicious treat after another presented so artfully. The wonderful owner, Barbara,... More

The owners know how to be great hosts! Although there had really been no plan to have more guests at the tea, she made room for our group of five. We are vegetarians. Our sandwiches were delicious, and the scones were totally awesome, some of the best, if not the best I have ever had. There were four scone varieties.... More

Great selection of finger sandwiches and 3 types of scones served. The Earl Grey Tea served is wonderful. You will not need to eat dinner after this tea!!
