Description: Sea Star Cafe Gourmet Carry Out is locally owned and operated! We opened on Main Street in 2000 and moved to our new location on Maddox Blvd. in 2013. Serving gourmet sandwiches, fresh salads, vegetarian & vegan fare as well as homemade soups, sides and baked goods. All of our food is MADE FRESH to ORDER by the 2 OWNERS..... everyday all the time! Our soups, sauces, hummus, baked goods etc. are made by us right here! We intended Sea Star to be carryout but do have some outdoor seating limited to 3 picnic tables as regulated by Virginia Department of Health. Check us out!

Hungry? Sea Star Cafe will answer your hunger! The sandwiches are massive and made fresh at the time you order. Great food, awesome freshness, with a price that's a little more than your typical place but worth it.

Where to begin?! Highest quality food, fresh baked bread, homemade desserts. That's not to mention the wide variety of selections. You can eat as healthy as you want or indulge in something decadent and still feel you have eaten healthy. The ambiance has that certain jenesque and the ladies at the windows are friendly and informative. I actually crave their... More

In a coastal town, it's generally hard to find anything good besides sea-food. It's mostly true for Chinctoteague as well. This carry-out cafe saved the day for us. Not just that it provides several sandwiches and wraps for vegetarians and vegans, it does a damn good job. Their Malibu and Baja wraps were some of the best veggie wraps I... More

We stopped here after reading all the fantastic reviews on Trip Advisor. My son was happy to be able to build his own sandwich, to include picking his own bread, meat, and toppings. The sandwich was a good size and he enjoyed it. My husband got one of their daily specials and thought it was pretty good. Unfortunately, there were... More

This café is NOT just for the vegetarian.... There are plenty of great selections from there menu. Each order is prepared fresh just for you and is always GREAT whether it be vegetarian or not so much. If you want good food and a great value you will certainly get a tummy full.

Sea Star Cafe features healthy-ish sandwiches with lots of vegitarian and vegan options. Because there aren't many such options on the island, I am guessing many thankful visitors have rewarded this sandwich shop with high praise. While I was happy to have a healthier option, I wasn't bowled over by their food. Compared to other similar sandwich shops I've been... More

Stopped by for lunch. The roasted tomato and red pepper soup was awesome. Great flavor, served piping hot. I also had a panini special with turkey, roasted red peppers on olive bread that was great. It is take out - so no place to eat except picnic tables outside, still awesome in a cold march day.

We went one night, and I had a salad with shrimp salad on top. AMAZING! The salad was fresh and plentiful, and the shrimp salad was fantastic - not mayonnaise-y, but fresh with dill and lemon. It was so good that we went back the next day, and my 5 year old son wanted shrimp salad for his lunch! I... More

I'm no professional food critic by any means but the sandwiches that this place makes will forever be on my taste buds. Prices are a bit high but you most certainly get what you pay for. The quality and flavor that the Sea Star puts out is unrivaled on Chincoteague.
