Description: Sea Star Cafe Gourmet Carry Out is locally owned and operated! We opened on Main Street in 2000 and moved to our new location on Maddox Blvd. in 2013. Serving gourmet sandwiches, fresh salads, vegetarian & vegan fare as well as homemade soups, sides and baked goods. All of our food is MADE FRESH to ORDER by the 2 OWNERS..... everyday all the time! Our soups, sauces, hummus, baked goods etc. are made by us right here! We intended Sea Star to be carryout but do have some outdoor seating limited to 3 picnic tables as regulated by Virginia Department of Health. Check us out!

We asked around for a great place to get a salad and a local told us the Sea Star Café. I was pleasantly surprised with a generous portion, amazing dressing and the best homemade hummus I have had in a long time ,complete with warm fresh pita slices. We would have visited this location more if we knew about it... More

This place is always packed with people and I don't understand why. Mediocre food that is over priced. Do yourself a favor and go down the street to Poseidon's Pantry, the food there is way more flavorful.

After biking for the afternoon,we stopped her to get sandwiches. The food was good, and it has an outdoor sitting area by the pond, which is really nice to enjoy the food. Be careful with mosquitos though.

Awesome sandwiches. I opted for the daily special which included smoked turkey, goat cheese, roasted red peppers and house made olive tapenade. It was do good. As other reviewers said, the wait can be long. At 11.10 they were packed after only being open for 10 minutes but the wait was worth it.

I was so pleased to find not only a great outdoor cafe to eat at but a healthy, vegetarian one at that. The prices were great, the food was fresh and delicious and I only wish I had found it sooner on my vacation and I would have eaten there every day. It can get busy so if you are in... More

This is a really great place to go for lunch. Allow for the food to take some time to prepare. It's worth the wait! Very fresh ingredients were used in my Northerner sandwich. But the cold brewed iced coffee was the best thing about my visit!

A lot of the food used to build their delicious sandwiches might originate with SYSCO...but the Sea Star makes those ingredients come together in big, tasty, offerings. That are reasonably priced. The bakery goods are fresh. And the lemonade is the best!! Homemade. The service is extremely friendly and as fast as they can be. Every order is made to... More

They serve delicious, fresh sandwiches and salads! Their gazpacho is one of the best I've ever had, and their iced coffee has excellent flavor!! On the downside, they only gave a few outdoor picnic tables to eat, no restrooms, and it is a bit pricey for sandwiches. We are here twice for lunch, delicious both times, but cost us more... More

Tried this for lunch during our visit. Lots of neat sandwich and salad combos to choose from. Was slightly disappointed that our one order was made incorrectly, but nothing too terrible. Would give it another try!

Came here for lunch with kids. Great sandwiches! They even had vegan options as well. I had the Ole wrap... So light yet so yummy. Will come back again :)
