Description: Sea Star Cafe Gourmet Carry Out is locally owned and operated! We opened on Main Street in 2000 and moved to our new location on Maddox Blvd. in 2013. Serving gourmet sandwiches, fresh salads, vegetarian & vegan fare as well as homemade soups, sides and baked goods. All of our food is MADE FRESH to ORDER by the 2 OWNERS..... everyday all the time! Our soups, sauces, hummus, baked goods etc. are made by us right here! We intended Sea Star to be carryout but do have some outdoor seating limited to 3 picnic tables as regulated by Virginia Department of Health. Check us out!

After a bus tour of the refuge, we stopped at this cafe for a quick bite since we were starving! Well , the sandwiches and wraps were fresh and tasty; however the long wait was kind of annoying. It took us an hour from the time we arrived till we received our order. Being a vegetarian, I do appreciate that... More

Limited menu and nearly no seating, but tasty, healthy sandwiches. Expect a bit of a wait. Excellent for takeout.

A great place to have a satisfying sandwich. I had the Diplomat. I'm a turkey fan and I was excited by the addition of the Brie cheese which I don't typically see being served on sandwiches. It was very good and Brie is my new favorite sandwich cheese - it adds a creaminess. My boyfriend and I also shared some... More

Many varied options-- for vegetarians, gluten free diets and others the flavors are old but good and the service is very pleasant. Great place to gather food for a picnic at the beach..

This is a very small sandwich shop that you might otherwise miss if you didn't know it was there. Our hotel staff suggested we try it, and we were so happy with it that we ate lunch there on both days we were in town. The prices are very reasonable for what you get, and the sandwiches are LOADED with... More

This little place we found while biking around. Glad we stopped. At first I thought the price was a little much but after I got my turkey sandwich I understood why lol . The sandwich was HUGE!!!!!!!!

Hands down the best place to eat. The cafe is a welcomed reprieve from the fried food and sweets that permeate the island. My organic salad with chicken and avocado was very fresh, as was my husband's turkey havarti sandwich. We would definitely come back here on CI.

We got some sanwiches and iced tea to go one afternoon. They were yummy and it's a good choice for a quick bite at a decent price.

We always stop for lunch at Sea Star, which has moved to a much larger spot on Maddox Blvd. than their previous digs. Pretty much everything on the menu is great - their salads are WONDERFUL, and their vegetarian wraps are great even for carnivores like me. Their shrimp salad features fresh, plump shrimp with a light dill dressing -... More

Tabuleh wraps, great sandwiches, seafood fries all available at Sea Star. You can eat at one of the outdoor tables or carry your lunch to the beach. Service very slow so build wait time into your schedule
