Had breakfast on two mornings. Fried eggs, sausage, ham, potatoes - at a reasonable price. Friendly wait staff, quaint and simple diner.

We used to go here almost everyday while on vacation. We haven't been there in years and going again was a mistake. This place has gone way down hill. I had a breakfast sandwich and it was terrible. The service was not that good either. It was mostly foreigner's running the place now, along with the short woman with attitude... More

$5.00 for a bowl of clam chowder and it was 5 ounces of milk. There were barely any clams or potatoes. No hardiness and very flavorless. It was like drinking a bowl of bad milk; not that we got through two teaspoons before we gave up. We hope we don't get sick and ruin our vacation. The hot roast beef... More

They have a simple menu with all the standards. Fried fish, burgers, chicken fingers, etc. If you're looking for a solid meal for a bunch of folks or kids after a day at the beach this is a safe bet. There are plenty of good restaurants on the island and this is in the middle of the pack. If you... More

My family and I went to Mr. Baldys for dinner after having seafood the previous night because we wanted something different. We ordered sweet tea and it tasted rotten. The fries were dry and the Alfredo sauce left the taste of sour milk in your mouth. There was a quarter sized piece if dirt or chewed up chewing tobacco (did... More

Rinky dink diner type place but good food and reasonable prices. Generous serving sizes and real brewed iced tea.

Mr Baldy's used to be decent. The breakfast was generally good, but it has become AWFUL! I asked the staff if anything has changed in the last few years and they replied- new ownership. The place USED to have decent food for a thrifty price served hot and quickly by a happy wait person. Not now. When we walked in... More

What a shame! Mr. Baldy's used to have great prices on chicken. You could buy a family sized portion for $25. Now they've changed their menu (only not really because it's still listed) and that amout of chicken will now cost you $60. Don't bother- for the price it isn't worth it. Drive out to Royal Farms for your fried... More

Went to Mr. Baldy's, disappointed. Food OK, drinks were expensive, and the service was ok. We got a hamburger that was cooked to our liking, it was OK but not what I expected. The kids meals were alright alittle skimpy on the fries but otherwise ok and the drinks were priced high.

This place is inexpensive and the staff is always friendly. There is also usually not as long a wait and as other restaurants. I love the creamy crab soup. My younger brother loves the spaghetti and the mini corndogs. They have a lot of kid friendly choices that are not just chicken nuggets.
