Loved the fried veggies and alligator bites. Portions were large, waitress friendly and quick, food delicious. My first visit but not my last.

We have been here before and the food has always been excellent. You know it`s fresh and not frozen like some popular chains. It`s a little pricey but worth the money. Just wish I could go there and not think that they are a bit understaffed. But the people there are friendly and know the menu well! Even my cocktail... More

Finally, a decent place in the area to get seafood. I wish it was more like the old fish camps, but this place still is very good. We went on a Saturday evening - didn't have to wait too long for a table, and service was excellent. The seafood meals that we got arrived quickly, and the quality and taste... More

There are few family owned restaurants in this area and Riptides is a welcome respite from the customary chains. Their food is fresh and the atmosphere and quality of their offerings are well above average. They have done a great job with landscaping and the outdoor patio is lovely in the evening.

My wife and I visited Riptides a couple weeks ago. I have to say this place is great. They have a friendly staff, great food, if you don't mind paying a little more for it. The live guitarist was a plus as we sat and dined on the patio.

Based on other reviews we tried dinner at Riptides before attending a play and it was ok. The atmosphere is nice, especially since it reportedly was a gas station in an earlier life, and the service was good. The house and Caesar salads were just average, with dressing that tasted right out of the bottle (and very little "blue" in... More

Our 3 couples ate dinner there 7-16-2014. We all had fish dinners (Salmon and Mahi-Mahi), salads, and spiced shrimp as an appetizer. Salads were large, and everything was excellently prepared. Our waiter was great; the restaurant appeared clean. A nice experience. We will be back. Don't forget that on Wednesdays they have 1 1/2 lb. of steamed shrimp for $17.99;... More

Wife and I had a night away without kids and it was a great evening! Patio dining with spacing, we weren't on top one another. They had a guy playing guitar and it enhanced the experience, loud enough to hear but to were we could easily carry on a conversation. We had drinks and meals and it was $70 bill,... More

When it first opened there was great service. but alas, not so much anymore. The last two visits were poor. I don't know who trains the servers, but they badly need training on customer service. Plus, one would think a seafood place would have somebody that knows how to shuck an oyster.

First, we were given menus we couldn't order from because they were there for decoration. We each ordered an fried oyster dish... all the oysters were soggy. It was my dad's birthday so he complained about the quality of oysters and the waitress rolled her eyes. The manager did get him a new order of oysters that weren't soggy, but... More
