Chesapeake is light on good seafood restaurants so I hate only giving this three stars, and it is because of my personal choice. I don't care for a lot of fried food and that is Pirate's Cove's style. If you like fried seafood I can tell you they do it fairly well.

Delicious seafood and a fair price. Lively staff who will deliver what you want in quick order. If you get there during prime time, be prepared to wait a little bit. But know that it is worth the wait! One of my favorite seafood restaurants in all of tidewater.

Being a Health Department employee and picky to boot there are not many places that I frequent BUT when I find an establishment with good customer service, clean atmosphere and great food I go back again and again! Pirate's Cove is definitely on my list! My mother came from Texas and with luggage still in the trunk I took her... More

This place is a wonderful restaurant. Hidden in a little shopping center next to a Food Lion, it was an unexpected treasure to find. We have eaten here many times and never have had a bad meal. We take family and out of town guests here. Everyone loves it. The Pollock is the best fish I have ever had. Normally... More

The wait staff is amazingly friendly and knowlegable. The portions were generous, the drinks were good and the seafood was well done.

The Pirate's Cove is a place that we have visited regularly since moving to Chesapeake in 2005. Never a bad meal. The fried Pollock is the best fried fish that I have ever had. Lightly breaded. Luscious. Don't miss it if you are near Battlefield ( Route 168 Business ) in Chesapeake.

As a Chesapeake resident, I like to support local businesses. This is my favorite local restaurant for seafood with a nice ambiance. The atmosphere is cozy and casual. The food is generally very good and well prepared and presented---although not gourmet The menu has a wide variery and not confined to eafood dishes, but hey...the name pretty much designates their... That's the nickname we gave to this locally owned restaurant that we've been visiting for many years. If you're looking for organic or gourmet fru fru food, this is probably not the place for you. But we love the fried shrimp, crusty hush puppies and friendly service. Many of the staff have been there since the restaurant opened, so I... More
