I'd read many great reviews about this restaurant, but it did not quite come up to the high recommendations for me. It was good, but certainly not great. We got there early (4:45pm) and avoided the crowds I'd heard about. There were plenty of tables available at that time. The place is casual, with a very simple décor. The service... More

I have only eaten here once. Was a business dinner, and was recommended by my associate. The decor is low key. Our server was friendly, and helpful, and just like you would expect to find in any Cracker Barrel or New Jersey diner. This restaurant is in a shopping center, and it fits in well. I ordered the Oysters Rockerfeller,... More

Definitely worth a try. The food and the service was very good. Both times I've been there they have been very busy, which I guess is a good thing, but the wait was not too long. I fell in love with their corn bread which tastes more like a cake, hence why I fell in love with it. It's not... More

The best she crab soup in town. The atmosphere was pleasent & homey. The service was great. The dish I liked least was the spinach casserole.

Great Value for the money. Plentiful amounts of food for the price. Often have to wait for a table due to lunch crowd.

Although it's in a strip mall, it reminds me of the seafood houses of my childhood. Generous portions of delicious food. I had fried shrimp, which were the best I've had anywhere in Hampton Roads other than Steinhilber's. Golden fried, not greasy, with a delicious baked potato. Everyone in my party loved their meals. Will definitely return!

The service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive and accommodating. The Prime Rib special was very good as was the fried pollock. The salads were not very fresh and one was even semi frozen. The Mac and cheese tasted like plastic. This was my first time going here in a very long time. Everyone has an off night and I... More

We go to Pirate's Cove every time we visit our parents. We love the food and can't wait to eat there! The problem is not just our family but other friends have noticed the issue too. If you have more than 4 people in your group, they place you in two places: by their office or by the bathrooms. I... More

We went there for our anniversary dinner and I was hoping for it to be good based on the reviews that I read here but I was very disappointed with the dinner so was my boyfriend. It looks cute on the outside but inside it is dark and old. It was really cold inside when we went like almost if... More
