Best diner food and Philly Cheeseseak in VA. Cash only. Looks small on outside but hearty portions on inside!

Amazing Philly Cheesesteak on a fresh Amoroso Philly roll. Gary and Ann husband and wife owners are amazing. It looks like a small dive on the outside but it's amazing on the inside. Gotta try it out!

We want to like this place. The prices are high, and menu bland. I can put together a grilled cheese and bag of chips at my own.home. Parking a hassle.

The place to come for a breakfast that you will talk about. It is a small place but it makes up for size with it's food. The mom and pop owners interact and make you feel like you are at there house. They always have a special treat available. Come hungry and leave some time for a nap.

I have been going to the Grill since the mid 90s. It is the best greasy breakfast I have ever had. The Omelots are huge and delicious, and the home fries are incredible. Philly Cheese is also off the charts. If you have never been to the Grill, you need to go

This small grill is big on taste and customer service. I tried the cheese steak sandwich with sweet peppers to go. As I was waiting for my order, I couldn't help to notice all of the best in Chesapeake awards hanging on the wall. I paid for my cheese steak with cash because they do not accept credit cards but... For all the transplanted northerners who enjoy cheesesteaks but not the hunt for a genuine replica, this is your place. We've tried plenty of local spots...some were close...some so far off the mark we won't give them points for trying. The Grill is the place. Gary uses great rolls and the meat is nice and lean and he chops &... More

Don't let the outside discourage you. It's just a small place but the food is fantastic! We've eaten there numerous times and never been disappointed. The Philly chicken or cheese steak with grilled onions and peppers is wonderful and deserves all the awards given it.Love the breakfast there. Homemade corned beef hash melts in your mouth. Eggs any way you... More

Hard to find words that will do this place justice. Owners have opted to concentrate on a limited menu of items with each prepared to perfection. All walls are covered with multiple awards they have won for essentially every category of food on their menu. Gary's Philly cheesesteak sandwiches will make you think he's from Philadelphia, and he is. His... More

This place has it all - good food and reasonable prices. What truly sets this restaurant apart from the competition is the people and atmosphere. Easy to miss, we drove past it twice. So glad we didn't give up. Coming from the NC side, it’s just past the McDonald’s. Located in a small white building, Grill at Great Bridge is... More

Voted best cheesesteak year after year. Gary and Ann make everyone feel welcome and at home. Harkens back to the local diner feel. Burgers are large and homemade, breakfast is good old fashion fare, with a flavorful French toast . If you have the chance give it a go.
