I love maya and Christian is one hell of a chef!!

I have been visiting maya for years and am never disappointed. Good food. Great drinks. Awesome Brussels sprouts my last visit and it's a very quaint environment. I love the outside seating! I highly recommend you visit!!

Quaint "C'Ville chic" kind of place. Must get the corn dusted fried oysters and the Brussel sprouts with carmelized onions and bacon side dish. Stellar service and friendly people who make the whole experience that much better. And prices were right where you would expect.

Four of us went on a Monday night when many Cville restaurants are closed. Spinach salads, one with arugula, were excellent. My lightly fried catfish was delicious at a very reasonable price. Trout was very good, but the two orders of crab cakes were very poor. So stay clear of them. Two sides that came with each dish were all... More

Grits were well prepared, pulled short rib was a delight, the Ancho Pork also a pleasure and their greens are a soulful side (mom would even approve). Solid wine by the glass list. Selection of White Wine by the bottle is a little scant, Red list is OK for a bistro. This is a good experience, a little more choice... More

Went with a group for dinner. Warm atmosphere inside better than the normal great outside seating with late fall evening! Crab cakes, pork loin were quite tasty, Fried oysters for an appetizer were great.

i hadn't been to Maya for a meal in sometime, however, this past Tuesday, (12/01/15) we took a poll & decided to head to Maya for a family get together. We arrived about 6 PM, welcomed by staff, up the stairs we went to the dining area which was not crowded, water served & we ordered two starters, the Local... More

It was our third T'giving dinner at Maya. We knew what we were going to order before we got there... as Maya does post its menu on line. You get a choice from four starters (always take the oysters)... a main (from beef, turkey, fish or Veggie) and four desserts. The food was as good as ever. The turkey was... More

We stumbled upon this jewel after missing our initial reservation at a steakhouse. We happened to arrive about 10 minutes before the kitchen was closing. The wait staff was none to happy about that, initially. Luckily, we already knew what we wanted to order because we googled the menu on the way there. The waitress made decent drink recommendations and... More

I was in the mood for a Southern taste of pork and accompanyisong corn bread and came away more impressed with my potato leek soup ( one of the specials), the crunchy and delicious vinegar-based Cole slaw, and best of all, the savory sauté of Brussels sprouts and bacon - I could have eaten an entree of it! Yum! Surprisingly,... More

This is a casual and fun restaurant with friendly service. I would recommend the Cornmeal-crusted Fried Oysters as a starter and then crab cakes and chicken for the main. There were several good choices!
