Boy were we pleased with this place. Have been to many Charlottesville places in the last 4 years with our daughter a student there, and only came here as a "second choice"... but what a delightful surprise. Every single dish was a gem, interesting and carefully prepared, perfectly matching an interesting Spanish Chardonnay, and served with casual but very skillful... More

Loved the food and restaurant. I had a starter of 4 raw oysters prepared differently for each one; lovely. Then a salad and the calamari which was to die for. My husband and son shared the calamari then had entrees (forget what they were). Good wine by the glass and wine list. Only complaints is it was too loud (we... More

This is a very nice restaurant in Cville. We arrived early for our reservation and they were super accommodating and nice. We were seated immediately upstairs.... We all ordered different items. I had the lamb over orzo ... I really liked it. several others had the salmon and liked it. One in our party had the housemade ravioli with capers... More

While the menu is limited, the wine list is expansive and excellent quality and value for money. The choice of food is small, but what they do is outstanding. We love their burrata with fig paste which we share because it is so rich and the portion is so large. The risotto, the fish dishes, and espeically the Orzo veggie... More

I had a really nice meal at Orzo last night. Definitely get the grilled octopus -- it was the most perfectly cooked octopus that I've ever had! Even the best examples usually turn out a little bit rubbery and this octopus was really tender. The Caesar salad wasn't a very adventurous choice on my part and I'd rate it at... More

We very much enjoyed restaurant week and was happy that Orzo also participated in it. The service was adequate. It was awkward when we came in and were ignored for the first few minutes. Once seated, dinner went fairly smooth. We got a change of silverware with every course, which I like. The portions were ample. Started with the tasty... More

We used Charlottesville's Restaurant Week as or first opportunity to try out Orzo -- and we were not disappointed. As far as quality, it certainly lived up to the comments made by other reviewers. An excellent array of entrees coupled with a more than ample wine list made this a truly enjoyable experience. The restaurant itself is small, and easy... More

We dined at Orzo last night and I had the braised Colorado lamb. It was fantastic and packed with interesting flavors and texture. My husband tasted it and is looking forward to ordering it. Charles suggested a bottle of Pino Nor that was fabulous.

What a great find! We considered many restaurants in Charlottesville and are so glad we found this one. Small and lively. We were greeted warmly by the owner and our server happened to be his daughter. Both were very friendly, fun, and accomodating. Our entrees were a roast pork loin and vegetable risotto. While I would not consider what I... More

Great place for luncheon, good selection of local products, service and quality has always been great. Nice open space- very light and airy. The location is fun because it is located in a market environment. Very eclectic wine list. Iced tea is awesome with homemade sugar stock Again go for lunch as the prices are half for what they are... More
