My fiancee and I went to Cassis for dinner on Valentine's day. We had been there before and enjoyed the experience so we returned. They had a fixed-price, 5-course menu with a 3-5 options for most of the courses. The first course was soup, and both of ours were fairly good. For the second course, we ordered both a steak... more

Steak tartare perfectly prepared - rough ground high quality steak. I have not tasted better in France. The whole menu is wonderful. I can recommend the duck in season. We have never been disappointed with anything - the owner/chef knows to undercook everything which is the French style. And a fine reasonably priced wine list - if you see the... more

Menu selections were limited but unique and creative. The salads were delicious and well portioned. The bouillabaise was very tasty and served piping hot. The homemade rolls were great too. My personal favorite was the moulton lava cake for dessert, which was served right out of the oven topped with homemade ice cream. What a treat. Our server was great,... more

The dinner at Cassis was every bit as good as the best we have to offer in New Orleans. The prices were reasonable, the service excellent, and the food was uniformly superior. We were particularly... more

Not a huge fan. Over-priced and over-rated for what you get. The atmosphere is a bit "off" IMHO. more

The place is looking a little rundown--the wall sconces were all out of order on our side of the restaurant ( a waiter said it was some sort of electrical issue) and there were some wires dangling from the ceiling nearby. Our waitress was fine, but not especially informed, and she at first tried to seat us in less-than desirable... more

It was unseasonably warm the evening we went, and it was warm and uncomfortable in the restaurant. We did not have reservations, but the staff seated us and we had a great server who was full of advice and information. My wife did not know what kind of wine to order, so the server brought a couple of glasses and... more
