We were visiting Charlottesville and this is the restaurant my daughter chose for lunch on her birthday. At first I was reluctant because I'm really not that fond of most Indian food. She wanted us to try the lunch buffet and as it turned out, I tried and truly enjoyed every single dish on the buffet including both desserts! There... More

My wife had the chicken chili, and I had the tandoori. Both were very good, as was the naan we had for starter. But, none of it was amazing. My wife's chicken was a bit tough. The worst part though was the service. It was slow, and the staff seemed perpetually confused. If we were in Charlottesville again, dying for... More

This was the second time we visited Himalayan Fusion, and we were not disappointed! The service was wonderful--very friendly staff and they took our order quickly, and the food arrived hot in what seemed like a few short minutes. The lentil chips they serve at each table were light and tasty--a very interesting flavor. We ordered and shared the mixed... More

Easily one of the most underrated restaurants!! The food is amazing. There is a buffet on Sundays at a really great price. I'm definitely going back there again. The atmosphere: great decor, slightly empty, warm workers, eclectic music. I love it.

I was surprised that we have such a fine Indian/Tibetan restaurant on our downtown mall. We had the tandori lamb chops that came sizzling to the table and I honestly think they were the best I have ever eaten in my life (no kidding)! They were incredibly tender and the flavor was heaven. We also ate the chicken dumplings accompanied... More

My husband ordered a dish with shrimp & quail & I ordered a dish with lamb & quail both were amazingly very tasty. We also ordered some good tasting asian beers with the help of our amazing waiter Dylan. Thanks Dylan for making our dinning experience a good one.

I don't eat Indian food so not sure exactly what it's suppose to taste like or the different types of dishes so maybe my opinion is inaccurate but.......I thought it was ok. Nothing stood out that made me say to myself, "I've got to have this again!" Also nothing stood out as being bad. We went for lunch and got... More

I was strolling along the pedestrian mall in Charlottesville and feeling hungry. I came across Himalayan Fusion which says it is a fusion of Indian, Nepali and Tibetan cuisines. The selections at the buffet seemed pretty standard Indian fare, but I must say some of the flavors and spices gave these dishes a bit of a difference that I appreciated.... More

They have a lunch buffet and there were lots of choices but it tasted just like every other Indian buffet I have been to; nothing unusual at all. But the service was the real surprise...we were basically ignored. Plates were not cleared; our water was refilled only when we asked. When the host pointed in the general direction of our... More

Good mix of Indian, Tibet, Nepal food dishes in an interesting decor but basically, it was Indian food and not that different from other restaurants in the area. Did not get free tea refills which is the only reason I would go to the other places first. The food is good and the service is good. Not bad but not... More
