This restaurant serves fresh, carefully and creatively prepared dishes. The mussels were particularly tasty, as were the grouper and duck breast. $82 for two, including a beer and glass of wine, plus tip.

We chose Zo.ca.lo for the menu which sounded great and did not did not disappoint. I enjoy mussels and eat them for the broth or sauce they are presented in. These came in an excellent slightly spicy chili sauce enjoyed by all at the table. The tuna tartar was also well prepared with a slight zing of spice as well.... More

We heard so many great reviews of this place so we had to check it out. Service was good, atmosphere was really nice, and the food was above average. The portion sizes were kind of small, which is fine for me but the men in our party left a little unsatisfied. The chefs definitely have skills-the dishes were unique and... More

Had a very good meal here during restaurant week even though we choose from the regular menu. We had delicious scallops and salmon. The wine list was quite good and the service as well. Would return.

DOUBLE CHECK YOUR BANK STATEMENTS AFTER LEAVING THIS PLACE! I was charged $112 after purchasing a $10 Parliment drink and leaving a $2 tip. I expect more from such a establishment, as should you.

Great atmosphere! A little jazz band was there the night we dined and it was like being in downtown NYC. The food is flavorful and the portions are generous.

My friends and I love to meet for drinks at zocalo as they have a creative and changing line-up of cocktails. I especially recommend the Loose Goose and Pomegranate martinis. The food is also delicious--best scallops I've had in town--but pricey. Save dinner for date night, and hit happy hour with your friends!

Zo.ca.lo is one of my favorite places to eat in Charlottesville, both in the winter, when it's cozy inside, and in the summer on their terrace next to the fountain and under the tall willow oaks. This evening, however, was especially memorable because of the lamb with mojo sauce. After my wife and I both had the wilted spinach salad... More

After a terrible experience on Friday night, Zo-ca-lo was wonderful. Our server was enjoyable to talk to and had excellent suggestions for our appetizer and entree selections. The specialty drinks were fun as was sitting outside on a beautiful evening. Six of us shared appetizers and one was better than the next. Our entrees, all different were tasty with a... More

This restaurant has a great patio and is a great place to meet up with friends for a drink and a snack after work.
