The day we were there they had green beans and black eyed peas that both tasted like they came straight out of a can. Both were cold. The mashed potatoes were warm only because of the gravy that was hot. I would rate the fried chicken as fair and that's being kind. We also felt like we were rushed through.... more

This was a delight! They are open only between 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM and it costs a bit more, but well worth it! We were there about mid November 2008. This was our first time in Charlottesville and I must say we had a wonderful time. The food at MIchie Tavern is just wonderful and the staff were very professional, and very informative about the area. Next time we stay at Shennadoah Crossing for the week we will make a special trip to Michie Tavern. more
