Classically elegant

Being totally underdressed as most tourist are I was a little hesitant to even eat here. Glad I overcame my reluctance. I am not a buffet person but this one to not be missed. Sea food boil, loaded potatoes, chicken, cheese. Not even going to mention the numerous and wonderful deserts.

Just ok for the cost, thought it would have been better and more options. I tried the peanut soup, if you like Thai you will love it. My husband like the lobster bisque. We didn't get a table with a view and my husband was disappointed there were no good chocolate options for dessert. I tried the banana pudding bread... More

Easy to locate as right next door to the Boar's Head Inn. We had no difficulty getting reservations for a Saturday night but I still suggest you call ahead. We were greeted promptly upon arrival and even asked which of two tables we preferred, opting for the one overlooking the patio windows. The décor is beautiful and please take note... More

The Old Mill Room ambiance, good food and attentive staff. We had the option of full service or the buffet and opted for the buffet as we had missed breakfast and planned on a late dinner. The buffet offered several salad selections, beef, chicken, seafood and vegetarian options too. The beef and mushroom ragout was excellent -- the beef was... More

The old mill room is very attractive and the food and service are excellent. The wait staff was very attentive and knew exactly when to clear and bring food without rushing the experience. My wife and I each had three courses and each was very good and the price reasonable for the quality. The dishes weren't pretentiously gourmet, but were... More

I took my son and his girlfriend to this restaurant and we all loved it. The food was very good and the service impeccable.

I was thoroughly disappointed when I arrived at 1:45 and was told there was no lunch menu and I would have to order their Sunday Brunch Buffet. I had seen a lunch menu on Open Table and was very excited about their offerings but I would not get the opportunity to try any of them. The food on the buffet... More

I dined here for business before a conference. The menu is extensive and includes plenty of options for just about every taste. I enjoyed the beautifully presented and tasty Old Mill Salad and the fresh Sea Bass with soba noodles, green beans and a crispy topping. The fish was moist and mild, accented by the diverse textures and flavors of... More

I absolutely love this restaurant. Went there recently with my daughter who lives in Charlottesville. We went for Sunday brunch and sat right in front of the fireplace which had a roaring fire. A subtle scent of burning wood was in the air which I just love. The decor is lovely, classy, elegant. There was a bountiful array of food... More
