Nice hidden place to eat some original Italian dishes. The appetizers are unique and very tasty. We tried the eggplant wrapped cheese and was very impressed with both the presentation and the taste. I used all of our fresh baked bread to sop up the left over juices. I had the lobster stuffed ravioli and also tried the baked sole.... more

We came here for our anniversary. The atmosphere was so nice, quiet and very romantic. We sat next to the window overlooking the mall. We were both enjoyed our seafood dinners. The service was excellent, our server was very attentive.. This is our new favorite place in town. It is a little romatic hideaway. There will be no disappointments here. more

During a recent stay in Charlottesville, we found a fabulous restaurant that we stumbled upon. Located upstairs of another restaurant, Ristorante Al Dente was a delightful surprise. It is on the downtown mall near the ice rink. The restaurant is beautifully appointed. Fortunately, there is no smoking. The service and food were 5 star and the prices were very reasonable.... more
