Delicious. Seriously the best donuts I've ever had. Made with potato flour and fried to perfection. As others have noted, their hours are sadly limited (which I don't understand since a well-made donut is a treasure that must surely be coveted 24 hours a day!)--so go early and often! more

I love Spudnuts. It's a leftover from an earlier time in Charlottesville's history (and America's actually as there was a brief time in which potato flour donuts were somewhat of a fad), and it's fun to go. The donuts themselves are excellent - very light, fluffy, and sweet. Definitely worth visiting this funky old place. more

Local doughnut shop where they make them with potato flour. This was actually a chain a long time ago, now a few survive and a few thrive. They serve both yeast and cake and close when they're all sold out (so get there early.) more

Great doughnuts, and a local tradition. The potatoes give the doughnuts a bit softer of a texture (less gluten), which adds to the tastiness. Best fresh. Service is a bit on the grumpy side, but not to the point that it's offputting. more
