Big breakfast menu. No wait on a Friday midmorning. I had the Hungry Norman and thought it was one of the most interesting benedicts I have had. My wife had the Joan Marie's omelet which was wonderful as well. We would definitely return if in town again. Service was friendly and efficient. I do recommend this place.

We got to the restaurant before it opened on Sunday and that was a great decision. Small dining area and people line up to get in and the food and service are the reason why. Corned beef has is amazing and the service is second to none. Waitresses all work as a team refilling coffee and drinks, taking orders, and... More

The staff were sweet enough, and the food was worth the trip, but the whole ordeal of lining up before opening time and then getting elbowed by aggressive families trying to get in the door first was a little off-putting. Maybe best to just suck up the wait, put your name on the list, and go for a walk before... More

Yes, this place is crowded on the weekend, but the crowds aren't such a problem on weekdays. The delicious and creative dishes and wonderful coffee here reward those who brave whatever wait they face.

This place has been on our "to do" list for a long time, but we've put it off because we knew it is aways crowded, especially on weekends. But today we got lucky, even though it was a Sat. with the farmer's market going on. We got our name on the list as #2, and the wait wasn't more than... More

Need I say more? If breakfast is your favorite meal to eat out, as it is mine, please stop here. The menu is fresh and interesting, the coffee is great, the service is professional. Bring a friend or family member and relax, enjoy food that is prepared with obvious pride and care. There is not a hostess, so if it's... More

We had a great breakfast in this small restaurant about 2 blocks off of the pedestrian mall. Portions are very large. I thought I might be able to finish it all but I was wrong. Very tasty. They have a lot of specialty dishes so I'd like to come back and try another. Note that they only take cash or... More

Go early or be prepared to wait a bit on the weekends, but this is a breakfast menu like none I have ever seen. Eggs served with different toppings, including bacon jam (don’t miss the bacon jam). The coffee is great, and the service spot on. I had something called a smokey joe, and I lost track of the ingredients... More

Food is good, no dispute there, but we were the first in the door at 8:30 when they opened and we had to wait an hour and 15 minutes for our food to come. No food is worth such horrible service. That is unacceptable under any circumstances.

WELL WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!!! Brunch here is incredible. Tried this place twice this semester with our daughter. Maybe it's less crowded during the summer and holidays. While UVA classes are in session, it seems to be about a 45-50 minute wait. No hostess, just add your name to the pad hanging on the wall. Even after you get your table it... More
