Dinner again

An eclectic assortment of menu items with a great variety of macaroni and cheese selections. Quick service and centrally located surrounded by shops and entertainment. Two the thumbs up to the wait staff who were able to juggle a kids party in front and everything else going on in the back.

Ok, Crab cakes are pricier than most of the mains on the menu. You have to try them. $18.95 for two of the best in the city. Fries and slaw come with it, but they are agreeable to switch and I got their chunky in house mashed potatoes. Tempted by desserts, but just too full. They are part of the... More

I had a standard Breakfast. Scrambled eggs. With swiss cheese. Potatoes. was just perfect. Big surprise was the Toast: with caraway seeds. I am visiting from Germany and we have that in Europe and I know it is uncommon in the US and I love that and I never had that in the US before. Delicious! The service was very... More

I drop into the "Nook" for lunch about 4-6 times a year and I can always count on a decent, affordable & quick meal. When the weather is good I'll sit outside. I recently returned and experienced that great consistency yet again. The food is not spectacular nor is the service but it's never bad. I wouldn't take someone to... More

We chose to eat outside in pedestrian mall area as it was such a lovely day. The staff were very casual and pleasant and our lunches were delicious.

Great breakfast. The biscuits and gravy were so good...I kept stealing bites from my boyfriend. Loved the blueberry pancakes. Try to get seating outside.

The Nook was recommended by our hotel staff. It has a diner vibe and has been in business since 1951-ish. They are known for their macaroni and cheese dishes. I think there were 10 or so on the menu, which was pretty cool. I found the food to be average, nothing especially memorable, not even the mac. It seemed kind... More

It was a pleasure to have breakfast here since we had such a poor experience at another restaurant 24 hours earlier. We went there about 10:30 AM on a Sunday morning and had to wait about 45 minutes to get a table (6 in our party). It gave us time to walk around the pedestrian mall, which wasn't crowded at... The wife and I had trouble finding a place to sit in and eat in this area, that wasn't very expensive. Luckily, we found the nook. I had the "flying Elvis" which I thought was great. The mrs had a vegetarian burger and she enjoyed it very much. We both are for under $20. On top of all that, our... More

The food is just ok for the price, and the service left something to be desired...not because it was bad necessarily, but it just wasn't good. My beverage wasn't refilled when empty; I had to track someone down to ask for a refill. The setting is cool, though, and we were seated quickly. We could appreciate the history of the... More
