Went here for dinner on a Friday night. 6 with no reservation. Seated us in courtyard. Nice atmosphere and lighting. It was kind of warm. We had the cheese assortment and shrimp appetizers. Both were good. We all had different meals and everyone was pleased with what they had. Prices are high and no money has been spent updating this... More

We just stopped in for appetizers and drinks while giving our friend a foodie tour of the downtown mall and were delighted but what we found. This was our first time here and the décor was so rustic and unique- very inviting! The bartender recommended a couple dishes all were wonderful- our first time trying sweet breads and we are... The atmosphere is cozy (even if I would prefer a little bit more light). The service was excellent (the waitress was able to clear the table in the proper manner, without putting anything under her arms or doing any other odd thing I have seen in American restaurants). The food was top quality. We had the snapper, the trout and... More

We had dinner at this Cville standard right before school started. The sign has a Pepsi logo - but don't be fooled, this is a long standing tradition. The interior is well designed, the service professional and the food high quality. A very nice experience.

My son is a Dr. At UVA and he wanted to take me to a special birthday dinner and C and O fit the ticket!! I love history and the quaint old building is amazing ... We dined in the outdoor courtyard . They have seasonal items and the food was delicious! Service impeccable!

We recently had a delicious meal at C & O Restaurant -- a bit funky, just off the downtown mall, tiny little downstairs restroom, which is odd, but don't be thrown off by the "hole in the wall" appearance -- the food is excellent, get the grilled trout and ask for it without the sauces -- it is fantastic just... C & O Restaurant was our first choice for restaurant week. The food is always wonderful. And this week's special menu includes dessert. The service was outstanding. First we sat inside, then decided we wanted to sit outside. After a couple of sprinkles we returned to a different table inside again. The staff acting as if this was just the... More

Nice ambience especially the courtyard behind on a cool day. Food is above average but some what pricey. Nice place for a romantic dinner or special occasion.

We brought 35 of our closest friends here for a business presentation. The restaurant is remarkably old, a very antiquated building with plenty of character and personality. There is a huge bar in the basement, a restaurant on the main floor, and a private room at the top of the stairs. The room accommodates about 40–45 folks. The service was... More
