We wanted a casual place to ring in the New Year, and this worked out great! There are TVs, but they're not too loud or intrusive, so it doesn't feel too much like a sports bar. The decor and clientele feel young and hip, table service was excellent, drink selection also excellent.

Been here a few times with friends to enjoy beer, this was our first time we sat down to eat dinner while enjoying some beers. We were not impressed. The place seemed be heating the entire restaurant with the fireplace. It was not working. Everyone in our area was freezing cold. In fact we all kept our jackets on. We... More

Large glass walls display the micro brewery with a bit of a log cabin feel. Large fireplace in the lobby and seating that allow you to me in the mix of things near the bar or more off to yourself. I thought the menu had a nice variety. I had the baked macaroni and cheese and the menu allowed you... More

While not expansive, the menu had something for everyone. The beers were quite good as well. Friendly staff, good TVs for sports, and conveniently located from our hotel.

This used to be one of our favorite places. The new owners have really changed the feel from warm to stark. The place was really crowded so I guess I am in the minority. The waitress was really great though and even let us taste the Caesar dressing before we ordered. The old restaurant had the best Caesar salad I... More

Lots of great beers to choose from, and I love that they do samplers. You’ve got to try the Satan’s Pony. The food was good (mostly burgers), but if someone says they don’t want fries, and gets them, don’t make a bunch of excuses, just say sorry and take them back. Other than clueless mgmt. on that point, the place... More

This was my second visit. Beer is fair. Menu selection is not great and prices are a bit high for food. Service at the bar was acceptable but not friendly. I might go back but will not go out of my way to do so. There are far better breweries in the area.

The newly re-opened and remodeled store is much brighter and has a better layout than before. While I miss some of the former brews from South Street, the new lineup includes a few of the old favorites PLUS many of the great beers you're used to getting at Blue Mountain in Afton. The food is great and the fireplace si... More

I stopped by as this was one of the few breweries in the area that was open on a Tuesday. It's directly off the downtown mall (not really one of my favorite places in Charlottesville!) The beer is good and they have $2 12 ounce pours on Tuesday. I didn't have a meal there but did have their wings which... More

Nice location plenty of parking, great service and the beer selections were fabulous, but when we received our wings they were not very good, we think it was an attempt at high end wings but they failed. We all ordered burgers and the grill cheese all burgers were all undercooked and the grill cheese was not good at all. Actually... More
