Great lunch buffet and byob as well.

One of the few BYOB places in Charlottesville. The lunch buffet is a good value with plenty of options for vegetarians and meat eaters as well. Really liked the curried potatoes and the lamb tikka. Both were very flavorful. Very attentive service will keep you coming back as well.

I have to say that last year I felt that the quality of food was amongst the best of any Afghan-/Indian-style restaurant I have ever been to. Everything was super-delicious and really cooked to perfection, coupled with really nice service by one of the owner's daughters. During my current visit to Charlottesville I brought a business contact of mine along... More

I had the Qabuli Palow...Brown Rice over Lamb topped with Raisins and Carrots. It was yummy. Also had the Kadu (sauteed Butternut Squash) with a great sauce. the service was good and the prices were reasonable....

I've been here on numerous occasions. This is a fine restaurant for Vegan or vegetarian cuisine. The meat dishes are quite good as well. The staff is quite efficient, and the overall experience is good

Enjoyed the lunch buffet, it was my first visit here and to an Afghan restaurant. The buffet looks small but its a good selection of fresh items. The pumpkin curry was my favorite. Many vegetarian options such as eggplant, veg curry, veg samosa, pumpkin curry and cold salads. Also a chicken dish, lamb curry, rice and naan.

I don't understand what happened for our dinner, but this restaurant didn't come anywhere near the Trip Advisor reviews we read. The Lamb Tika Kabob was tough and needed lots of chewing to break it down into something that could be swallowed. The bread (was it supposed to be naan?) that comes with the meals was dry and didn't look... More

Our World Culture Club ordered lunch from here and we all dug in! The kofta was tough which was a shame since I very much enjoy that, but the rest was delicious! The chickpeas (chana) were just the perfect level of spicy and the chicken melted off the bone, perfectly seasoned, and so tender! It was a great meal!

Don't be fooled by the outside appearance of this restaurant. While the exterior looks like someplace I would pass by with no interest in trying, once you walk through the door it transforms into a warm, intimate, lovely restaurant with delicious food and awesome service. My son, who is very picky, chose this restaurant as part of his graduation celebration.... More

We came in a group of 5, ordered the dinner for 4 and had food left over. This offered lots of tastings and a congenial atmosphere of sharing. The lamb dishes are outstanding and DO try the eggplant. The service was adequate, but no better. We had to request water refills and waited for plates and dessert. No tea refills.... More
