Convenient for a Boars Head stay

We visited last spring and got a big snow. In fact we pulled in Sunday night after driving through the snow and this Floridian was glad to get here for food and a drink. The next night with so many places out we stayed in again. The food was very good especially the appetizer nut and cheese plate... read more

We arrived at The Boars head tired and hungry. We didn't want to get dressed up for The Old Mill Room. They are a bit dressy in that restaurant. The Bistro was excellent. A little crowded back where we sat, but not horrible. It wasn't loud with music, but nice enough for conversation at your table. I had a shrimp... More

We recently spent two nights at The Boar's Head and really enjoyed Bistro 1834. The room is lovely. It has a full bar, traditional tables, and overstuffed leather chairs. We spent a little time there each afternoon, enjoying wine and playing cards. In addition, we ate dinner one night. The appetizer nachos (basic pico de gallo) were fabulous and large!... More

Due to being very busy, we sat at the Bar where enjoyed the very personable bartender and chatted with several other customers. Very casual and friendly with excellant food.

I and my wife have stopped by many times in this bar. We keep coming back because of relaxed atmosphere and superb and very personal service. Light and quite music add to the atmosphere. All bar tenders (Michael, Karen, Emily) are extremely professional and efficient. Even when it really busy on Saturday and Sundays evening they will make sure that... More

Great place to hang out in a cosy atmosphere. And an alternative if you are to late for the Old Mill restaurant. Nice bar food, good salmon, pasta, salads and burgers. Nice decoration and fairly good wines. Just the service might be a bit slow.

Has all the feel of a private country club . The setting is casual and the food is good. Abit off the beaten trail and GPS got dumbfounded the last part of the trip.

We very much enjoyed our dinner. But, it could've been better if a gentleman at the table next to us knew that he wasn't supposed to smoke (cigars). Eventually, the restaurant staff told him to stop smoking after we'd moved tables. The white wine recommended by our server was right on the money.
