Really a great place to have lunch with a friend that is out of the way, and oh so delicious. I came across it by accident just walking by and now it is a favorite for sure. I live far away but I visit every so often. I will put this little gem on my route every time.

As a "local", I've been remiss in lunching here in goodness knows how long. Well, no longer! Twice entertained out of town chums (Germany + England) this Spring:- all (v well travelled and "foodies"!) were universally delighted with the Food, Service, Wine/Beer selection and overall charm/ambience.

The best location in town. The owner, Candace, was extremely friendly and helpful. All of the staff were pleasant and helpful. The furnishings were beautiful and perfect for an historical building. The rooms were large and very comfortable with large bathrooms. Every detail was well done. Breakfast was excellent. Overall our stay was a delight! Thank you!!

This small restaurant is in a gracious town house right in the center of Charlottesville's downtown area. The service was pleasant and discreet and the food was excellent. My companions had crab cakes and I enjoyed the Herb Roasted Chicken Sandwich. As advertised, it was served warm with sliced Fuji Apples and Brie on a Croissant, and served with a... More

Had a lovely dinner. The steak melted in your mouth, I am told. The vegetable entree offering was lovely and the salad and soup were delicious. The wine was wonderful and desserts were terrific. The setting - in front of a cozy fire - was perfect. We were treated like royalty. Not overly expensive for an extraordinary dinner.

This old Inn has some exceptional dining. The dinner I had was the pecan chicken. Said to be one of the owner's favorites. I can see why. Toasted pecans on a chicken breast, with sugar snap peas cooked just right, not overdone. Side of naturally sweet potatoes. Topped with a magical blackberry bourbon sauce. Have I died and gone to... This is really a gourmet restaurant set up for the Inn's guests. (They were a little surprised to see us walk in off the street.) The offerings are quite good and the dining room is very pleasant. My only (minor) qualm is that the menu is limited.

I ate at The Inn at Court Square March 16 2013. Atmosphere - perfect. Food perfect. So many chefs these days "play" with food. Not here. This meal was prepared by a professional. The mushroom soup was perfect - not over salted, not too thin or thick. For my entree, I had the pork chop with sweet potato wedges and... More

Checked this Inn out while visiting son at UVA. I was dressed casually but felt a little out of place in jeans and a sweater. The staff treated us extremely well. Others have said it was a limited menu but I have found limited menus allow for the freshest ingredients and the chef perfects the offerings. This was so true... More
