We ordered on-line, and then waited in the restaurant for 60 minutes for an order of three entrées to be completed. Will not be returning. Would not recommend.

The food here is the best Chinese food in Charlottesville. The service isn't the best, but that's what call ahead and pick up is for! Some of the best sesame chicken I've ever eaten was from here. It was crunchy and fresh.

We had been to this restaurant before and the food was exceptional. However this last time we were there, everything that we ordered were so salty that we couldn't finish the meal. The service was very abrupt and pretty much nonexistent. There was no excuse for it since there was only 3 other tables in the entire restaurant.

It was a rainy late afternoon in Cville, and we had spent about 6 hours en route by plane from Florida. Our daughter and son-in-law suggested TOC, and off we went. A non-desript strip center belies the excellent Cantonese and Hunan dishes we were served over the course of the next hour. Portions are big, but not huge. Food quality... More

I stumbled into this place during a rainstorm on a recent trip to the area. I didn't expect much as it's located in a mall. However, the menu had many dishes that you don't see in your average Chinese restaurant. I tried the roast duck with veggies and it was really good coming with a tasty brown sauce. Also, it... More

I love the food, but the service is poor. The staff has no customer service skills and nor do they care too. Today we were told by a Waiter not to come back because we did not leave a tip. We asked that our food be cooked in a certain way, and we sent it back to be cooked correctly.... More

We were traveling on Christmas and this was one of the few places open. It was really good. We arrived at 9 and were seated right away. The restaurant was still pretty busy. They have a varied menu and many vegetarian options. We ordered 4 different veggie dishes (for 4 of us) and couldn't finish! They were delicious! If we... More

I recommend the crispy beef for anyone who likes a little heat. I've tried every soup they offer and they are all delicious. The decor leaves something to be desired; not a place to go for formal occasions. The only dish I have had that wasn't 100% was the crispy duck. Love the warm sake.

By pure dumb luck, I discovered Taste of China several years ago while attending a conference in Charlottesville, and I make a point of dining here whenever I’m in town. I am never disappointed. Tucked inside a large strip mall (Albemarle Square), Taste of China serves up a wonderful mix of authentic Sichuan dishes, along with the Chinese-American standards that... More

Found this place on Tripadvisor on a recent stopover in Charlottesville. My girls had soup, steamed dumplings and spring rolls which they really enjoyed. My husband and I started with the dumpling with red oil and they were very good. More Chinese than "American Chinese". When then shared the crispy beef in chef special sauce. It was tasty and had...
