I just want to say that I am a local cville-ian. The food is nice but half of the time its burnt or is cold and if you confront the owner, she ends up shouting at you. She ended up fighting with me and my father but we sorta repressed that incident and went to visit again. There was burnt... More

the other wonderful Afghani restaurant in Charlottesville. Terrific food, atmosphere is more casual than the other one (Afghan Kabob Palace) but a good location near the University. I'm more inclined to do carryout here but there are a number of tables for eating inside as well. Definitely recommend!

I was booked to stay in Charlottesville, and a friend told me to change to the Hampton Inn at the university just to eat at Ariana's which is across the street. So I did...I was not let down. What excellent food...the kabobs, the rice, the veggies...even the bread!! I ended up eating there both my nights in the city...on top... More

We found this restaurant because my wife stays abreast of the local news. (We're proudly locals). Obviously lots of others have found Ariana's as well. The food is excellent and displays that the chef knows what he/she's doing. The service is very good and it's a delightful place to go for lunch or dinner. (Parking's tight but it's worth looking)

I like this place. Small, cosy and friendly. The food is tasty and well prepared. My waitress, Rachel, persuaded me to have the spinach curry with my kabobs and I had to thank her for doing so. Portions are just right. If I lived closer I would eat here on a frequent basis. Absolutely recommended.

My wife and I stopped here returning to Indiana from Va. What a lucky find. Being unfamiliar with Afghani food, we needed some help from the waitress, who was knowledgeable and pleasant. My wife had Auosh (?), a spicy soup, as a starter, and I had some kind of stuffed dumplings. I wish I knew the name of the main... More

Mom and I had the lamb kabob's. The food was tasty over were a trifle overcooked and we wish they came on the Kabob sticks. However, the rice was sooo good I could eat a plate of it and the spinach yum! Even you think you don't like spinach you have to try this. I also had a glass of... More

I just came home from a girls' weekend in Charlottesville, Virginia where one of the many highlights was our first lunch at Ariana Grill Kabob House. The food was savory and delicious without exception from beginning to end. Our waitress, Rachel, really pulled the whole experience together, guiding us through the somewhat unfamiliar and delightful terrain of Afghani cuisine. She... More
