Stay away from Twisted Branch. It's my secret. I like it the way that it is, with artists and musicians and cool, funky people chilling out and drinking tea. I like the fact that you won't even know that it is there. As tourists pass by en route to over-priced traps, Twisted Branch is tucked away on the second floor... More

It was great-very unique-very alternative kasbah looking sort of- place. A great break from corporate configured machine wrought plastic/Formica mall stores. A huge selection of teas or you can order a custom blend from knowledgeable staff. Menu beer sometimes live music and seems always a break from the outside.

The selection, and execution of the tea make this a must go and find in Charlottesville. Try the green tea milkshake. It is fabulous.

I was thrown off because I had to go upstairs to find the location. The design of the interior is unique. The aesthetics seem to be culturally reminiscent of indochina. I ordered a green tea mix, and i was pleasantly surprised to see how much matcha they used. To some who are accustomed to the Starbucks Green Tea Frap, this... More

I stopped in here as it's one of the few places on Main Street open late on weekends in the summer. I was overwhelmed by just how many teas they had (probably close to 100) but settled on a nice dessert Chai with no caffeine. They have a food menu, some baked goods and hookah as well. The decor is... More

It has to be said this did remind me of some venues I spent some time in while a student.......but that isn't necessarily a negative comment! In fact once I got up the old staircase the tea here was v good....a wide range of green, black, red and fermented teas. Good quality, properly brewed etc....I could see how the hours... More

The tea selection here is inspiring and soul-warming. You'll love whatever you get. The decor is incredible too-- you feel as if you are drinking tea in an enchanted rainforest. Sometimes, they'll have live music, and then the atmosphere is especially potent.

I had a great time eating here 2 times in the 2.5 days I was visiting Charlottesville. I had met Zap at the place where I was staying and she said she worked here. I love trying new places and I had just eaten a huge meal at Citizen Burger, so I needed some tea to wash it down. I... More

This was our first stop when we arrived in Charlottesville and so glad it was. I had never been to a tea house before so had no idea what to expect. The waitress was awesome! I asked her to give me some recommendations and she did great. I had this amazing tea while we sat and relaxed on their comfy... More

Overall a good place, a first choice when just looking for a place to unwind and catch up with old friends in Cville. The outdoor area (a popular place you can smoke your hookah) needs work, it has excellent potential but is in need of a little attention here and there, fresh paint, clear up the clutter etc... I'll go... More
