We stopped at Revolutionary Soup after visiting Monticello on a Thursday afternoon. Arrived about 1pm and there was a line up to the door, but it's a pretty small place with about 10 or so tables and a bar against the wall with a window out to the street. Didn't take long to get through the line, I ordered the... More

TripAdvisor and Charlottesville friends recommended this place, and we're glad we tried it. I had today's wonderful special salad--white beans on arugula with roasted tomatoes, a generous amount of shaved parmesan, onion slices, and lemon vinaigrette. Fantastic! My husband loved the lamb curry soup and roll. Everything we ate impressed us with its freshness and brilliant taste! What friendly people... More

There is a reason why this is named the best sandwich shop by locals year in and year out. No other restaurant has an owner that grows the veggies and sources the proteins locally. The soups are perfect in the winter and fall when you need a little meat on the bones.

The manager at the Inn we stayed at recommended Revolutionary Soup for a low key lunch. The Adam's Apple sandwich is amazing!

I have been going here for the last 10 years + and just love it. I LOOOOVE their lobster chowder, and have always enjoyed every salad and sandwich I have ever tried. It's got a really cool atmosphere. Just an awesome lunch spot.

The Adam's Apple sandwich at Rev Soup is one of the great sandwiches of the world. It takes a while to make, so bring a book; but when it's ready, you will want one every. single. day.

We decided to try Revolutionary Soup for lunch. The name alone got my attention so we went to the Downtown Mall. I enjoyed the setting in the basement of an old building just a 1/2 block down 2nd Street. I had the Asparagus and Mushroom Soup. It was not cream of asparagus soup, but better than that. In fact I... More

We have eaten at Rev Soup several times and it never disappoints. The mushroom wrap was excellent today as was the ham and brie wrap. We all had a different soup and they were excellent too. Definitely eat lunch here at least once if you are in Charlottesville!
