It is a buffet type restaurant. There are plenty of choices mostly common dishes like chicken masala and others. The taste is pretty good.
I love indian food and have found it a challenge finding authentic indian cuisine in the States, but Minerva in Chantilly definitely hits the spot! They actually cook the spices with the food, rather than adding the 'heat' at the end, which totally destroys and overpowers the flavor of a dish. I highly recommend them!
Minerva is our go-to location for take out Indian near our home. We've got their number programmed into the cell-phones. We'll call ahead from the car and stop by on our way home after a long day out and about. We really enjoy the garlic naan bread and have never had a bad main course. I like their butter chicken... The location is in a strip mall, like many places in NOVA. The food was pretty good. We ordered tandoori chicken for my kids and they really enjoyed it. My husband ordered a lamb and spinach dish (I can't remember the name of it, maybe palak) and it was tasty. I had the chicken vindaloo. And we ordered lots of... More
The buffet at this Indian restaurant is well-tended and because, at least when I've been there, the crowds ensure quick turnover of the most delicate items. Fortunately, a lot of Indian food, particularly those with sauces, lends itself well to being held on buffet tables. Service is friendly. Most of the time I have no idea what it is that... More
Minerva Chantilly has become something of our Indian comfort food restaurant. We can't claim the knowledge of Indian food of a professional review or a native Indian, but we've always liked what we got. Place is pretty big so even with many tables full, it still has lots of room so the volume doesn't get too high. Only thing that... More
If you are a foodie, and can handle a little more spice than your average Indian restaurant, this is the place for you. The best time to visit is the weekend buffet lunch. They have a great choice of South Indian, North Indian and Indian Chinese. Everything is very tasty, but it is noisy, full of Indians with children in... More
Out of home (England) for couple weeks and missing curry fix. Was not disappointed by curry we had here. Nice food and reasonable portions. Had wine by glass which I was not expecting to be as nice as it was. Staff attentive and prompt without being over the top. Good place enjoyed what we had.
Went for a saturday lunch buffet. Great food, great variety. But one problem. There was a big yellow banner advertising their newly reduced rates for lunch buffets (mon-thurs $5.95; friday to sunday $9.95, cash only). But the waiter charged us $11.95 per person. When we mentioned that to the manager, he said that the reduced rate is only for weekdays.... More
