A great meeting place restaurant!

This restaurant has most of your food entrees covered from burgers, salads, seafood, chicken, pork, and steak. On the downside the lemonade is a bit too tart for me...and I like it a bit sour. Lobster bisque is too salty. This is not the place to go if you want a quiet meal. As with most... read more

We enjoyed our last meal in the DC area here and we're very satisfied with our prime rib, salmon and burgers. It was a very busy Saturday night so we called ahead but the wait was still quite lengthy (30+ minutes). We enjoyed chatting before our meal and our service was outstanding as the restaurant staff seems to work as... More

Overall, I was pleased with this place. Service is great and atmosphere is nice. The cons would be that the menu is limited and it seemed that they had problems cooking steaks to the requested temperatures. Everything did taste great though. I would definitely go back.

I love the Great American Restaurants, and having the Sweetwater Tavern so close is a huge plus for neighbor hood friends to get together. I usually order the grilled salmon salad. They cook the salmon to perfect medium. I would rate this restaurant a good 5 based on service and food quality, but the loud noise level can be a... More

Sweetwater has a reputation for their own brewed beers and good food. It is not fine dining but is a nice mid-range family restaurant. Our experience was ok, not great, not bad. We had a 45 minute wait in the bar. As a beer lover, I was looking forward to some awesome beers on tap. Wrong... That didn't happen. Good... More

The food is really good but not outstanding. I love the dressing on the house salad. I think what I like best is how well-trained the staff is. They know their jobs and they do a wonderful job of making sure you are well-served and well-fed. On the way out, grab a growler of one of their micro-brews made on... More

Sweetwater Tavern, Centerville, VA on Sunday 03/08/2015: My first time visiting had Excellent service at the bar. Every employee and manager was smiling and very friendly. AWESOME lump crab crab cakes. Every bite had lump-crab (not little bitty pieces) and they (2) were a good size. The ribs looked good. Can't wait to try them on my next visit. The... More

I've been here twice now and I'm a big fan. The ozzie rolls are amazing and I eat like 6 of them in one sitting, so I barely have room for the meal. Their specialty drink with muddled raspberries, I think it has "lucky" in the title, is great, their chopped salad with buttermilk dressing is great, the chicken tenders... More

Visited this establishment with friends from work. Beer was excellent and the service was fine. I ordered the fish of the day and by that night I was nauseous and had to be in a few steps of the bathroom.
